I adored it. The way Palpatine swept in means the legislation can pass without the concessions Rampart had given, particularly with the Othering of the Clones as different to normal people because they would destroy their homes if ordered. That showed the brilliance of Palpatine, either Rampart got it through the Senate or the data would have gotten released to show Clones destroying Kamino. Either way, the Emperor wins and gets what he wants. The funny thing is if they hadn't tried to steal the data and show the Senate, things probably would have been better for the Clones rather than how they're going to be now. They're now going to be treated as a potential threat, less than human, etc, etc.

Echo is an arc trooper, not a tech specialist. He does almost as much leading and strategizing as Hunter, plus he does everything scomp link related. I’d really like to see him get a more advanced hand though. Maybe just steal one from a KX droid. They have hands and scomp links on the same arm. It’s just ridiculous how much climbing the batch does when one team member has a usb cable for a hand.

I especially love seeing Disney delve deeper into the origins of the Rebellion. First we had the ghost crew in SW Rebels showing the coming together of all the rebel cells (the actual formation of the rebellion). Then came Andor, on that show we saw just a small circle of a few people act against the Empire at first. And now we see probably the earliest sources of a riotous rebellion in the military sector, where at times only a single person heard of the Empire's atrocities. This is literally the spark that will ignite the fires of rebellion, an inferno that will annihilate the Empire and its minions across the galaxy.

These two episodes had the balls to do what most modern media don't, make the bad guy an actual threat. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth to see Palpatine easily undo the entire heroic achievement, but it shows what he has always been, an incredibly smart manipulator that combines absolute power with The Force to win at every turn, even if he needs to play the long-run. It makes his defeat in episode 6 even more gratifying.

I want Disney to give me a Star Wars show. I will dig into some corner of the 60 years of continuity that these things all take place in, and I will start introducing things as though they had always been there: teleportation, time travel, zero-gravity flight belts, do-anything-the-plot-requires nanites, and replicators. I will destroy continuity and narrative cohesion from the inside! I will absorb the anguish and hatred of the fandom, and grow ever stronger!

The question kind of answers itself.

I have a theory that rampart's clone operative is part of his own personal force he's probably had specifically made for himself, likely with kaminoan equipment and scientists he got before they destroyed the cities. He's probably doing it because he's impressed with crosshair but wants that kind of competence loyal to himself rather than the empire (or to some extent his old squadmates)

The only thing I find weird is the setup is that STORMTROOPERS are like the SOLE replacement for the Clone Troopers, instead of just a normal human filled military. Stormtroopers are the successor to clones role wise, but the imperial military was more diverse than just that- Pilots, Naval Crewman, Army Troopers etc. It just seems cartoonish, akin to announcing a bill to replace all of entire US military with Marines.

This episode was some of the best star wars storyline writing. It tied all the dots and the bigger picture of the story without being wishy-washy, condescending, or filler. Compared to most of star wars rebels, this is a good direction. I didn't enjoy some aspects of Rebels that didn't show the emperor or coruscaunt on screen when they should've been on screen. The emperor's speech at the end was pure genius and showed the true cost of revelations and truth.

I liked the reveal that it wasn't crosshair as the sniper but also shows how incompetent Rampart is. Cause the sniper missed shots that crosshair would have hit. If Admiral Rampart had deployed Crosshair and new the value of his military units he would have not had to worry the senator or rouge clones since Crosshair is far better at eliminating targets.

It would have been great to see just a couple moments of Echo providing the training he alluded to in his goodbye to Omega. When she called him sir at the end it could have been a good tie in if she had started doing that sarcastically during these training sessions. As it stands it did kinda fall flat. Not wholly devoid of emotion, but not as much as it could have had.
