One of the few shows on TH-cam to which I give the thumbs up even before starting to watch it! Thanks for yet another great episode, Mr. and Mrs. Fractic ❤
Its very rare to find partners who share the same unique interest and passion these days espeacially when it come to everything Retro Great or small. Very Heart Warming Guys.
Send me back to the 1980's where life was less complicated. Leave me there and I will be happy let the world carry on as it is but I want to get off the bus. Thank you Perfactic family.
Totally feel you. There are ways to make today simpler. Reducing my smartphone usage and getting off social media (apart from necessary TH-cam promos) was key. We've also gone back to cassette tapes here. Nobody says the 80s has to be over, remember. th-cam.com/video/JfTU38O7YV4/w-d-xo.html
Glad you liked my Knight Rider modem mod 😊 I took another one that had green and red LEDs and made it into a Christmas ornament. It hangs on our tree every year and plays the classic modem sound when you press the power button. Much to my wife's chagrin.
I don't remember the names of all the old computer magazines in The Netherlands, but i remember in the 90s i would buy them at my local gas station, and often there was a Shareware & Demo Floppy or CD included for Amiga or PC. it was always like a surprise box, you never knew what you were gonna get. but that was the fun of it. 🎁
Oh man, Zzap! 64 takes me right back! I remember the thrill of getting a new issue, ripping it open like it was a treasure chest, and diving into the latest game reviews and funny editorials. I’d spend hours reading through it, trying to find all the tips and tricks to get ahead in my favourite games. I’ll never forget the time Zzap! 64 hyped up this game called Hopper. I was so pumped after reading the review that I spent all my pocket money on it. When I finally got it home and fired it up on my Commodore 64, it was every bit as awesome as they’d said. That feeling of getting a game you’ve been dreaming about-it was unbeatable. And then there was Commodore Format. That mag was another classic. They had such great reviews and tips that were always spot-on. Each issue felt like a little adventure, guiding us through the endless sea of new games and making sure we didn’t miss out on any gems. Those magazines weren’t just about games-they were like a doorway to a whole other world. Such good times!
Got very confused by the title... talk of a small arcade machine and TRS41 (made me think of TRS-80). Had to chuckle a couple of minutes in when I realised the TRS was of course The Retro Show :D Great work as always!
Totally distracted by Ladydractic's blouse / shirt / top. Looks awesome and has me wondering where I can get one with a similar appearance. Rock on Ladydractic!

Keep up the great work guys and i am looking forward to what you bring us all next. So until then have a great weekend and you all take care🙂🙂
Wow, another great show. Warm and inviting as usual. You two are great fun to watch and bring some great news that tickles our Retro Fancies. News on the grapevine is that the Spectrum is getting a maxi release in all of its rubber-keyed glory and that the BBC is releasing The Blake's Seven collection with updated effects and documentaries on blu-ray. Always a fun show.
The Retro Roundtable & I did a livestream about two weeks ago about the sudden cancellation of Game Informer. GameStop did them dirty. 21:40 - I've been experimenting with cloning my Dad's voice on ElevenLabs, and it's crazy to see how far technology has come. I should mention that my Dad is still alive, but I bet there are a lot of people out there who would love to hear their loved one's voice again, which is now [mostly] possible with these programs. What a wild time to be alive.
Way back in the day for me. I didn't have a commodore. I did see them with the computer I had. I had a Tandy TRS 80. I had all of the models when they would do an update. I even had one that was there version of a desktop. I would get a magazine in the mail for the Tandy and it was filled with Basic programs that you could program to have more games. You should have seen me when I figured out how to notch the 5 1/4 floppy to have more storage. Then I wrote a program for my step mom so she could figure overtime for payroll with the nurses. Then I also took four chips and put them in and went from 256K to 640K I thought that was something. When I graduated school I didn't want to be picked on in the Navy like I was in school for my Nerdness. I wish now I would have kept up with my notes with the programs I did in school. I am still trying to get into a job with computers and IT. Not easy at the moment I am still trying.
Wolf from Gladiators UK and Maria Whittaker model Pin-up! That Barbarian video game poster went straight on every bedroom wall immediately after buying the c64 game! 😂
ZZAP!64 was the reason for me to learn English. There I was with my English to Dutch dictionary to try to translate 'Cor Blimey' and all other English slang the magazine used. I had to promise our local magazine outlet to buy every issue, every month and they would order it for me. Good times.
