@@cody1574there’s no way that’s the argument. Seattle had one of the worst defenses and had given up a ton of points by week 4 when the giants played them at home. Giants fans were expecting Seattle to be a winnable game considering the poor defense and were comparing it to Arizona. Jones played well against Arizona on the second half after being awful in the first but this time in Seattle he was awful the whole game and the threw one of the most pathetic pick sixes you could ever think off down on his own goaline to a rookie corner who was able to read him because Jones stared the read down for no reason instead of throwing it to a wide open Darren Waller in the endzone. The giants were in prime position to make the game interesting but instead it’s a touchdown for the defense and that was all she wrote. That is the problem with Jones. You start to think he’s figuring out the defenses and then he makes some of the most head scratching decisions you’d imagine.
As a Giants fan that watched Eli as well, it’s hard for me to accept Jones’fault when there’s been little to know reward for the suffering. Eli delivered, Jones has to either play like he did against Minnesota far more regularly against the other defenses in the league or he’s gone. The giants have to know they can’t play 40 million for a qb and not be making playoff appearances yearly.
I don’t always agree with Sal but I have to side with him here. Jones is not a winner. Jones will win the games that nobody cares about & regress when he is playing with a little posterity. 😊

Finally the NY local media is questioning Jones in year 6? I've never seen a worse player get such unanimous support for so long in NY. The NY media used to be harsh. Now they all seem to agree on every topic.
While I'm not bought into Jones, the comment is related to the fact that the Giants have had a crummy offensive line and no top receiver. If the line is improved and Nabers is close to the billing we will finally be able to put the argument about Jones to rest one way or another.
This whole situation reminds me of Jeff Fisher firing that guy just to have a storyline for HardKnocks. Joe is putting on a show for the Cameras and its to the detriment of the Franchise.
