it will stay the same after first wash but if you accidentally use hot water, it will give off colour and might even affect other clothes. if you want to make it so it doesn't leave color, you must dye it darker than you need and then wash cold water and then later in warm water and then hot water. this will make the color fade slightly and most of the color that would affect other clothes will be removed. then you can wash with other clothes without much hassle
