you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last weeks :)
Disclaimers! 1) everyone's skin is different! Mine is dry acne prone when I don't look after it and combination healthy when I do! 2) I'm no dermatologist this is just what has worked for me! 3) I really don't care if you're all about ageing naturally, etc. Good for you! I'm happy for you! But plz don't jump up my ass shouting about how I'm 'caving to advertising/the patriarchy' lol. Nobody comes at me when I talk about wearing a denture or dying my greys but ever since I mentioned 'anti-ageing skincare' a RAKE of people have climbed out of the woodwork to damn me to hell for it, lol. I enjoy skincare, end of. I feel like-seeing as we as humans choose NOT to sh*t outside, leave sweat under our armpits, let our hair grow down to our feet and whatnot, there's nothing wrong with wanting to freeze time *a little* via products, just as people have done for literally THOUSANDS OF YEARS with honey etc...obviously, we're ALL going to age one day! :) BUT STILL. I love a well-preserved human face, I'd like one. Obviously don't rely on your looks. There are far more important things in life and anyone who follows me knows that all I really care about is the people in my life. Though, I'm into self care, in all its forms, and if people can upload TH-cam videos about 'how to clean a toilet' I feel like I should be able to indulge in a big passion of mine on my very own TH-cam channel. ;) Also, over the course of a year I spend less on skincare than what many spend on shite like fillers, alcohol, clothes, their cars etc etc...let a girl have her thing 😂💋
I don't have the budget and honestly the time for a lot of steps, BUT I have changed my basic routine to include Korean beauty techniques and I have switched the majority of my products to Korean ones. My skin has improved dramatically in just 6 months! People are starting to ask me what I do to my skin lol, that never happened before. My favourite thing is definitely double cleansing at night. It's just so effective at cleaning your skin and taking your makeup off while being super gentle
Umer Sheikh since it has the potential to clog pores I wouldn’t (but it does work for some people). Instead just look up noncomedogenic oils and use those (I think argan and safflower oil are non clogging) I personally use almond oil which is said to may have a slight chance of clogging pores but I haven’t had any issues. Then again my skin’s not very sensitive
that’s awesome! i’ve been trying to get rid of my years of acne scars and the ordinary has been a godsend. it’s really inexpensive and lets me get good actives (vitamin c, retinol) in my routine. i also feel very luxurious having a full skincare routine 😉
Very Important! Hyaluronic Acid needs to be applied to a damp face- it draws water into its self, if there’s no water to draw from the surface, or the environment then it will take it (water molecules) from the deeper layers of the skin and dry out/ damage your moisture barrier.
PureLexery I always follow instructions on the item/guidance from Caroline Hirons website when it comes to skincare order - she never says to use it on a wet face and I trust her! On HA she says “Hyaluronic Acid is present in our skin, but sadly our ability to both produce it and hold on to it decreases as we age. Its function in the skin however, isn’t to simply ‘moisturise’. It’s much more important than that. HA is probably the single most multi-tasking ingredient we use in skincare. Although it does hydrate by holding moisture on the skin, it also works as an antioxidant, prevents loss of elasticity, stimulates collagen and plumps the appearance of the skin. Crucial at this time of year, it is also anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, key for those of you that suffer from broken skin conditions whether from spots, acne, eczema, rosacea or perioral dermatitis.” So it seems to be more about preventing moisture from leaving the skin? By this point too mind I’ve used a watery essence! Xxx
Don't give up! See a dermatologist, do your researches and most important be patient ♥️ I'm currently struggling with getting a clear skin, so I can totally understand you. Good luck🤞😊we can do this
You are pretty, don’t give up! Love yourself and don’t be stressed about it☺️ Acne will go away, takes time and effort✨ You will get that beautiful clear skin
a lot of times you use new products or strong ones, it's not that you're breaking out, your skin is purging. It means that the product is working and pulling out the pimples that were going to happen anyway. Sometimes it has to look worse first to get better!
i think almost everyone could benefit from this kind of skincare routine. as someone who deals with dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin, when i try going in with an abrasive and harsh approach it just fuels the inflammation. its so easy to get carried away trying to dry and scrub away imperfections, but honestly it's done more harm than good, at least for me. once i started looking at it differently and coming in with a gentler, more calm and patient, nurturing viewpoint that's when my skin makes the most improvements. it's still a struggle as when i see spots come up i wanna jump on them, but overall thinking "gentle, nurturing, hydration" when dealing with skin is the way to go. feels like some potent self-love/self-care. i noticed also when i am my skin/scars/etc heals so much quicker as well. just overall better and healthier complexion.
Sis you don’t look like the usual 30 year olds I see. And it’s not just your looks it’s your aura and charisma! Edited: to explain to people that yes, I know she’s 30, but bc I live in a very poor area seeing 30 yr olds who look this good is very rare. The 30 yr olds(/around) I see regularly don’t take care of themselves because of socio-economic factors. It’s refreshing to see someone this healthy at just 30 (still so young) look this way and not stressed/bag under their eyes/sleepy/overworked at minimum wage jobs. (I know so much explaining for just a comment) Cheers 😁🌷
MB omg I feel you, people always get surprised when 30 year olds look good and it’s like ???? 30 isn’t old you’re not supposed to look 60 when you’re 30
MB well maybe I should’ve worded it better for some: *She doesn’t look 30 compared to the other 30 year olds I see regularly* you’re right but I live in a very poor area/secluded area where in 2019 there are still young women working a hard minimum wage and not taking care of themselves because of the culture here and economic suffering- so seeing women who don’t have dark bags under their eyes and smiling brightly, sadly isn’t what I see regularly. And it’s refreshing to know that if you do take care of yourself you can be healthy looking inside & out. So I know what all ages look like but someone looking this refreshed and supple is ‘unfortunately’ not usual to me.
Orewa Houston 🤷🏻♀️well when you’re used to seeing people 30 or around that age not caring for themselves or not living their best life it is surprising-in the BEST/GOOD way.
In mid thirties my skin looks better than ever even despite spending 4 years up high in the sky on the planes all the time where the air is so drying. I think right skincare, diet and spf are everything
Hi, just a tip for anyone who washes there face but suffers from dry skin. As soon as you put water on your face it draws the moisture out of it straight away. If I wash my face I always add some food/cosmetic grade glycerin. It acts as a humectant just like the hyaluronic acid which I also apply (to a damp face) It’s really helped with my dry skin. And it’s cheap! Also if anyone has been looking for an amazing face spf.. that doesn’t leave a strange white cast/shine or break you out try Evy spf 30 or 50 it’s a mousse formula, it absorbs so quickly into the skin. I’m 35 and have tried so many spfs this is by far the best I’ve found. Obviously everyone’s skin is different, just thought I’d share 😊
I've watched this through a couple of times now and just had to come on and comment. I'm 33 and take very little care of my skin apart from moisturiser and even that not every day. I'm lucky I've never really suffered with bad acne, which I think has made me complacent but my family show signs of aging early. Up until now I've found it really confusing but this and your other skin care video have really helped. I've bought myself the pixi toner and a serum to start and I'm sure I'll add as time goes on. The serum I chose has the most disgusting fake orange smell so I can't wait to use it up. I will happily pay more for a scent free one now I've suffered with this smell!! Thank you for your tips. I'm enjoying learning along with you :)
Thank you for sharing. I'm not much of a makeup person, but I enjoy your videos. It's a bit like having a sister or friend who shares her tips and favorites. Maybe some of it will work for me, but mostly I'm just happy for you having found stuff that works for you. I think some of this is also about self care. These "beauty routines" can be a wonderful way to show your body some love, if it's what you enjoy. For me, my routine in the morning and evening is a little bit of quiet me time. I've learned to be kinder to myself in these moments.
my routine always changes cos I get lazy but one thing that has definitely improved my combo-oily skin in these last few years is oil cleasing. It melted the blackheads I used to have and I never went back. Also switching to less harsh ingredients helped a lot. I actually didn't know my skin was sensitive when I first started trying a skincare routine, I thought the burning meant that the product was working... but I was pretty young and there wasn't a lot of good affordable products, and a desperate teen tries everything they can afford. Sad part is that I actually damaged my skin a bit, in the process. That's why I'm glad these kinds of info have gotten popular on the recent years. I also learned a lot from kr beauty and I'm glad it's more accessible now.
I think the balance between putting energy into beauty products and just being yourself is such a difficult balance to get right, but once you do find your happy medium, the feeling is great! There's no "one size fits all" and I'd just like to emphasise to everyone reading this, especially younger viewers, that you do NOT have to spend money on things to feel beautiful. I promise. Our society pushes so many beauty products and anti aging related products and high expectations onto women, but the reality is aging gracefully isn't a bad thing and you are not just the subject to men's desire. Beauty products are harmless... the expectations and self image that comes with them can be for many people. Melanie understands this so well. Love this channel.
The instagram beauty skincare routines you see, especially, I think are so misinformed and damaging. I hate instagram in general but the whole beauty trend on there is insane. It's too much. If it's just for fun, great! But if you think you NEED all those products to have normal skin, you absolutely do not (a lot of them are even damaging to your skin, like st Ives or anything with those lil micro ball things or citrus juices which cause acne long term). Be careful not to be influenced towards something that's damaging to your physical or mental health long term my lovelies, it's so easily done.
Oh yes please make a video of you actually doing your skincare routine! I love your "get-unready with me" videos because I play it in the washroom when I'm feeling too lazy to wash my face at night! It's like having a sister to take off makeup together!
Love how you said you would like to recognize yourself when you're older...that's exactly how I feel. It scares me to think about being unrecognizable when I'm older. Also I like that you talk about Acne prone/dry skin... I feel like everyone talks about acne prone/oily skin but not dry and it can get very frustrating that there's not enough info about acne/dry skin. Another great video thank you. ❣️✝️🐾
I started getting microneedling this year, just had one treatment so far but noticed a huge difference in my skin already, fine lines, dryness and even skin tightness have improved so much. Its an amazing treatment.
I am a 17 year old guy who is really passionate about skincare! Most guys my age really overlook the importance of a skincare routine in order to keep the face healthy and spot free. I have dry skin with a slightly oilier T Zone and I've started to cut out harsh exfoliants and stripping cleansers. The cleanser that I've been using lately is Ultrabland from Lush, it is a cream cleanser with lots of organic and luxurious oils to keep the skin from feeling dry after use. I occasionally will use Rituals fine exfoliant as it helps to eliminate excess sebum and dead skin cells without damaging the skin. I use the mega-mushroom toner from Origins which has a relaxing essence and is really good for redness and rosacea along with calming problem areas. Lastly I use the Liz Earle light moisturiser because it is not pore clogging and it really sinks into the skin. I hope this helped some people and I will have a skincare 101 video coming on my channel soon! Btw Skincare Melanie is my favourite Melanie 💚
i have needed this video!! My skin is a bit sad because of the colder winter weather so have been doing loads of research of how to give my skin some love and just get it to its best, this is so useful thank you!
I wanted to thank you for this video. I have always struggled with my skin and have never found a way to get rid of my acne. I read so much about skincare and tried a variety of products, all focused on tackling acne. Then I watched your video three months ago and took your advice, switching to a focus on hydration. I have started off small using a cleansing milk and the Emma Hardie cleansing balm and focusing on moisturising (and drinking lots of water) and the difference in my skin is incredible. The acne has cleared and this month I’ve had nothing but a couple of hormonal pimples. I had given up hope of ever finding a routine that worked for my skin. Thank you so much for your fantastic advice ❤️
Hi Melanie! I'm actually 32 and we look very similar. I've become a skincare/anti-aging "nerd" as well and I have some extremely important advice... fragrance and essential oils will not only irritate your skin on a cellular level but they will AGE your skin. Citrus oils become phototoxic when exposed to UV light. This means that they create free radicals. I tell you this because I wish someone would have informed me too!
Just wanted to note that luckily not all citrus oils become phototoxic :) there are citrussy essential oils specially made in a way to avoid them being phototoxic, but of course we might not always know which particular one the producer of the cream has used in their final product.
Yes! I spent over 5 years searching for a skincare routine and when I started looking into the Korean 10-step programs, my skin got one million times better. So happy to see this.
S Kael i was starting to look very aged when I was 26 (relationship issues, no sleep, kids). Then I Put myself first, got a good skin care going, spf, silicone patches, dermarolling (mostly this). Now people think I’m young 20s (turned 30 this year). It won’t take long for you to take a few years off since you’re still young. Plus, you might just be hard on yourself
Who else has watched this 4+ times with a notebook and started adding these items to their wishlist??? :D Amazing tips!! Can tell by your stunning skin, eyes, and thick hair how much your health and healthy routine aids your looks! also - LOVE your brows - are those a result of your HD brows? If something new, please tell us!!
Doodle On A Motorcycle 😂 Awh I am glad you are learning some tips! I certainly credit my lifestyle for a lot of things like hair etc (new food diary video going up tomorrow re: all that)...for eyebrows I get them threaded and tinted then I fill in using Benefit brow products! You can see more about my brows in my last video before this (makeup habits) xxx
You have such beautiful skin. Try using Halo face pads to cleanse your skin. You won’t need any products to remove makeup. I use this with warm water and even waterproof mascara comes off so easily without rubbing. This is a reusable pad and it’s one of the best
I’ve been subscribed for a while and it’s so motivating to see how far your skin has come! It’s looks amazing. I’m suffering with acne at the moment but I’m really trying to sort it out:/
Elave is another fantastic Irish Skin Care line. There products are cruelty free and fragrance free, so so good for sensitive and inflamed acne prone skin that needs calming. Available on Amazon if anyone is interested, highly recommend their cream cleanser x
I'm trying to swap to a more gentle and moisturising skin care routine to help my acne pigmentation but I can never find a good moisturiser or spf that doesn't break me out or give me blackheads unless I have loads of anti-acne treatments I layer before..which in turn dries out my skin, I can't win! I hope I get to the place you're in with my skin soon, your skin is so amazing..I just stare at the glow in videos 😄
I've watched this video like 7 times, maybe more. In the end just got a pen and a notebook and wrote down the steps while adding notes with my products' names. Purchased a number of recommended and some alternatives. Melanie, thank you so much for sharing! I wish your skincare videos to be discovered by more people because these are such great guides and advices for everyone who feels lots in the skincare routine and ocean of products sold and promoted everywhere. Thank you again so much! Looking forward to the next video!
Could you maybe do skincare q&a vid or how to get into skincare, where to start and maybe link some good resources or something like that? Loved this video, but don’t really know where to start 😅😍😍
Not sure if it's available in Ireland but my favourite facial spray is the Mario Badescu facial spray with aloe, chamomile and lavender - would definitely recommend it! Also just finished your book If Only and loved it! I found the characters so relatable, funny and real. A book that offers a little bit of magic, but also is very true to the challenges and struggles that many of us face. Congrats and look forward to reading more from you :)
Melanie, since you use cotton pads so frequently have you considered using reusable cloth ones? They’re very effective and can be cleaned in a lingerie bag with your weekly clothes wash. Just a thought :)
Just an advice but you should use the kiehl oil last Water based products first and oils only after that If you put the moisturizer after the oil, the moisturizer won’t be able to absorb and it will just sit on the top Great products btw and very useful content
I have to add that I purchased it too a few weeks ago. It didn’t do much for me and it left my skin very greasy. I have a sensitive, acne prone, combination skin. Anyways, I read on the internet how lavender oil can cause crazy allergic reaction to specific skin types. For some people it works, for some it does not and it can cause bad breakouts as well. Unfortunately I didn’t know this back then, I think it’s the best to use “safe” products which are more unlikely to cause irritation
Petra Földi it’s not that straightforward, this kind of explains! Depends on the type of oil but I always find everything works best when I use oil first ☺️ The kinds of oils I use are mostly the ‘easy breezy’ kind as outlined here: plumgoodness.com/blogs/plumblogs/the-face-oil-debate-is-settled-before-or-after-moisturizer
Love this, thanks for sharing Mel! as a fellow 30-yr-old lady i feel like i'm in the same spot right now, like as we've grown, we have to grow & evolve our skincare routine! 🥰sending love from Florida, xoxo💜
I'm big into Korean and Japanese beauty and skincare, I've been using their anti aging and whitening products since my early 20s. I love Hada Labo, mizon, etude house, Sana Nameraka and Cosrx :)
I wish I could use the Glow Tonic! My skin is just too sensitive! I do want to give their essence a try though. I love what your skincare routine is about. I'm getting close to 29, and the last few years have realized just how important it is really concentrate on the health of your skin, and not so much on how to cover it up. Great series!
I know you said about microneedling treatment for acne scars, have you tried the Liz Earle cica paste? I’ve only been using it for a week and I’m already seeing a difference! Definitely helps with moisture and any pigmentation too! Definitely worth a shot! I’m a huge fan of Liz Earle and swear by the stuff - skincare is like a little ritual for me. I’m washing the day off, I take time to get into a good headspace and it’s the best way to start the day! I love your videos, and these habits chats are some of my favs! Hope you have a lovely day! Not only is your skin glowing, but your personality is so radiant and lovely too ❤️
Melanie in this age-obsessed world I just want to tell you how you help me embrace my age beautifully and gracefully and be confident in my skin. Your videos in general and also the things you did not do in your 20s and embraced in your 30s. Love and Hugs
U are inspirational to so many women and girls all around. The makeup chair mentioned u in a video and I have found 2 positive on video people including ur little sis Jessie b and I think u and ur sis are simply divine. If u do an event I will beg borrow and steel to go to it. Another fantastic video!!!!✌💜😀
It really bothers me how you HAVE TO put out disclaimers... Why? I mean, people these days get offended by literally everything. Let the girl have some skin care! I personally like to use natural products, such as Oatmeal water which I make myself with whole oats because my skin is very sensitive and every product I've used, irritates my skin eventually but I'm not here shouting at Melanie for doing something different. Jezuz! Live your own life and let others live peacefully. In the end we are all going to die so let's make our stay in this world a Lil more enjoyable.
Ani Cordova say it louder for the people in the back! 😂 if something isn’t hurting anyone leave people at it...SO many killjoys who project their own insecurities
Oo I’m excited! Your skin looks so great 💕 Can’t wait to see what you’ve done. My skin is dry and breakout prone too 😬 And congrats on the wedding! Yay 🍾
I love your skincare and beauty content, both for the facts and because it's so calming to hear about and really interesting because I'm nosy and like to see other people's techniques.
Hi Mel, just wanted to let you know you should leave your night oil to the very last step as it creates a barrier and your other products can't penetrate it :) Even your sleeping mask should go on before your night oils x
Aoife Ophelia McDaid this is what it says online so I’ve always done it this way! ☺️ ““Sleeping masks are best applied as the final step - layered on top of a complete regimen - ideally just before bed,” Dr. Craig Kraffert, a board-certified dermatologist, tells The Zoe Report. So go ahead and pile on the essence, serum, moisturizer, and face oil beforehand” x
Your skin looks amazing! Unfortunately my body can’t tolerate scents and fragrance. Do you have any recommendations for skin care products that are fragrance free/unscented?
Look up Dr. Dray on TH-cam - she always recommends fragrance-free products. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream (EXTRA DRY SKIN) is a fave. Put it on damp skin, and then seal it in with a moisturizer. It's a great, affordable hyaluronic acid product!
Also Hyram and James Welsh have some great fragrance free recs! I personally really want to try Krave beauty, they’re a fragrance free, pretty basic skincare line you might want to look into :)
Check out Korean products. Most of them have a very mild "fresh" scent, but if I'm not mistaken there are many that are unscented/fragrance free. Check out James Welsh's channel, I believe he has a video specifically about Korean fragrance free products.
2 korean brands that are generally fragrance free are Cosrx and Soon Jung and are usually non irritating. Also a Great website to use if you wonder about ingredients is CosDNA, you can copy paste an ingredient list and it will tell you about the safety of each one and any irritants
Holy hell the glow... THE GLOOOOW. You look like you already wear make-up in the beginning! This is so inspirational. I always had acne (I am 27).. but my skin is dramatically better since I take good care of it, nontheless I have the occasional pimple and I just can't stop picking my pimples so I always have some kind of spots and redness. I hope to achive this clear skin state one day. I am so tired of make-up :D
More skincare videos please!!! I like "get unready with mes" and you could feature new masks and different face tools amidst your everyday products to keep a new/different aspect to each video. I would def tune in. Lol 😘 xoxo
Great video. I am also into skincare. I keep it simple though. Sunscreen during the day and perscription Retin A for night. I think of going to the grocery store as skincare there are so many colored fruits and vegetables that are great for your skin. I think that spritzing during the day may breakdown the spf on my skin though so i save for night.
I adore your skincare videos, can never get enough! I would be so interested ina video about your transition from acne focused skincare to anti-ageing as this is the point I am at too and I am at a complete loss on how to move to more moisturising regimes after years of trying desperately to avoid an oily face! Is this something you changed to overnight or did you transition products one at a time?
Not to add ANOTHER product to your list... but if you’re looking for a moisturising way to cleanse then oil cleansing is the way to go😍 oil dissolves oil, and of course nourishes your skin too
Mainly checked to see if you had SPF, every dermatologist would say you need it every single day not just in the summer. It's the main thing that ages our skin and gives wrinkles. Also retinol (tretinoin) is one of the only skincare ingredient that has over 20 years of scientific evidence on improving cell turnover (great for collagen and anti aging) which is why dermatologists recommend it. It's great that you had both
Rewatching this after the facial massage video, you're really inspiring me to have a good skincare routine. I recently got a jelly oil cleanser and it feels amazing on my skin. Also politely demanding a video showing us all your skincare products and what you do/don't like about them 😋💚
Hey I am new to your channel and I am hooked. I am 28 & now after seeing wrinkles around my eyes area, I am aware of a good skin care routine. I want to do all these and started couple of things mentioned in my twenties but then forgot as I feel lazy. Now will wait to order these recommended ones after finishing my Olay bottles.
Hey in the future would it be possible to include the prices you paid for your products? The reason is because I looked them up and many can only be purchased at certain retailers and some are very hard to find in the US, so when looking online I saw some priced at $360! Upon further research if you go directly to the company it’s 1/4 the price, but people online will charge ridiculous prices for a product that’s not readily available. So if you shared the prices then we could know right away if we are being scammed when we google the name of the product. Along those lines if you told us where you bought it too that would be really helpful. :)
The glow on your skin is just goals! 💚 Another great video and I hope for the application video! As I am a poor uni Student I can only dream of your products but you have finally convinced me to start using some spf 😂
I used to, thinking I had to scrub to keep acne away and the flakes of skin it brought, but goodness after learning about the damage they can do over time I quit that shit! Xxx
@@melaniemurphyofficial Yours and Susan Yaras video have made me realise that I need to stop using my salycilic acid scrub to a similar active Cleanser
I have a new what I eat in a day video going up tomorrow! :) But really, any of my recent food diaries are representative of how I eat...not too much sugar, lots of whole foods, not PERFECT at all but lots of good protein and healthy fat which are super important for the skin! Though I CAN make one all about foods for the skin and I can explain WHY they're so good
Watched your video on the new skin care habits you picked up in your 20s about 6 months ago and it really helped me with my skincare and understanding different acids whilst not following advertising fads!! Has been incredibly helpful in shifting my thinking from strip and cover up to hydrate and think about the canvas first, so thank you!! Products like the pixi glow tonic are now in my essentials so will definitely be trying out some of the products you recommend here :) a bit of a random one but could you maybe do a video on your lip care? They are glowiiing too so just wondered if you use things like lip scrubs, certain moisturisers, lip balms?
I'm so glad to hear it! :) For my lips all I do is: try to avoid biting them (hard haha), I brush them with my toothbrush and apply any balm once or twice a day! Literally any brand!
You are an amazing influence on all women young or old. The world needs more of you. Would u ever bring your bangs back? I miss them.. how selfish of me lol x
Louise 0474 hehehehehehe! Awh that’s sooo sweet 😭 and yes, I think so, but after my wedding as I always wanted long brown hair without bangs for my wedding - I dunno why I think because that’s the look that I most associate with ME 😊💚
Really enjoyed this video x The products all look amazing but not overwhelming! I see your using cotton pads but there’s actually great reusable products on the market like reusable cotton pads or products like the face Halo 😊 there’s even cheaper versions in pennys for €4! Just a suggestion ☺️
Maybe I'm missing something, but it would be helpful if you shared the name of each product/tool, or maybe included in your list below. Would love to know what night oil you were raving about, and also what brand face roller you use!
Have you tried face yoga? I'm so curious about it. Also, if you are applying your eye cream after your night oil, you should swap them around. Apply water based products before oil based ones because otherwise they will not penetrate :)
Face yoga does NOT work! It's been proven by studies that the exercises actually stretch the skin and can age it in the long run (just like making faces in general will cause wrinkles). What does work is face massage ❤️
Oh god, thank you for mentioning the Skingredients sunscreen! I’ve been looking for good spf for ages (mine has to be oil free, vegan and non codemogenic with spf 50, not an easy combo to find!)
You're looking absolutely incredible. Better than ever! I've been following a skincare routine for 6 weeks now and your skin looks GLOWING. I might mix it up and try some of these products!
Hi Melanie! I found your video a few days ago and got obssessed with your skincare routine. You have beautiful skin✨ I’m 30 as well and I want to look as glowy as you. SO, I decided to invest in my skin and took advantage of yesterday’s offers everywhere and bought some of the products you mentioned. I looked for the environ serum but I found out they don’t sell it online (I live in Mexico). I was wondering if it’s too pricey? Also, if I can’t acquire it, could you please recommend other brands that have a similar effect or that you love and are easy to get??🙏🏻 Thank you in advance!! Greetings from Mexico!
This was such an interesting video!! It might be a good idea tho to look into washable face pads instead of cotton ones as theyre just as good but are better for the environment :) hope this tip is helpful xx
WE HIT 10K THUMBS UPS so as promised, I filmed a video all about facial massage! :) th-cam.com/video/5RSsXNljc-M/w-d-xo.html

@Ira Memphis Yup, have been watching on instaflixxer for since november myself =)

Could you do a video with affordable alternatives? 💕💕
@@ellamcken462 CeraVe is quite affordable and is a gentle brand with pretty moisturizing ingredients. Also First Aid Beauty
Check out The Ordinary for retinol and retinoids. Cheaper than most and I my experience with them is really good.
AMEN!!!!!!
CAN I GET A FUCKING AMEN 🙏🏼🙌🏻
I don't have the budget and honestly the time for a lot of steps, BUT I have changed my basic routine to include Korean beauty techniques and I have switched the majority of my products to Korean ones. My skin has improved dramatically in just 6 months! People are starting to ask me what I do to my skin lol, that never happened before.
My favourite thing is definitely double cleansing at night. It's just so effective at cleaning your skin and taking your makeup off while being super gentle
southpaw612 Can u please tell me. I really want to follow. Even i don't have the budget. Love frm India ❤️
Can we use coconut oil for double cleansing
Umer Sheikh since it has the potential to clog pores I wouldn’t (but it does work for some people). Instead just look up noncomedogenic oils and use those (I think argan and safflower oil are non clogging) I personally use almond oil which is said to may have a slight chance of clogging pores but I haven’t had any issues. Then again my skin’s not very sensitive
that’s awesome! i’ve been trying to get rid of my years of acne scars and the ordinary has been a godsend. it’s really inexpensive and lets me get good actives (vitamin c, retinol) in my routine. i also feel very luxurious having a full skincare routine 😉
southpaw612 hi 🙂 would love to know the skin care products that you use 🙂
Xxx
Thanks lot for your valuable information, a dermatologist also said this that it dries out skin so your review is right, thanks and love from Pakistan
I’m in my bed , it’s 3 am and I’m crying because i just want that beautiful clear skin but whatever i do it gets worst
Dnt feel bad..u mst nvr touch ur face wd ur fingers..as we have loads of bacteria in them
Maybe the products aren't right for you? Maybe your skin is sensitive?
Maybe your cause in internal? Like hormonal acne?
Watching this has made me so motivated to take proper care of my skin again - at 27 years old I really need to get to it!
I'm 33 and I might be screwed already. But I'm desperate to try something.
@@KiralearnsNorwegian you re not screwed..its never too late to start caring about your skin ..you re still young at 33 :)))

ASMR ROUTINE VERSION PLEASE!!! YES!!! 💚💚💚
Y E S. I would love that.
i think almost everyone could benefit from this kind of skincare routine. as someone who deals with dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin, when i try going in with an abrasive and harsh approach it just fuels the inflammation. its so easy to get carried away trying to dry and scrub away imperfections, but honestly it's done more harm than good, at least for me. once i started looking at it differently and coming in with a gentler, more calm and patient, nurturing viewpoint that's when my skin makes the most improvements. it's still a struggle as when i see spots come up i wanna jump on them, but overall thinking "gentle, nurturing, hydration" when dealing with skin is the way to go. feels like some potent self-love/self-care. i noticed also when i am my skin/scars/etc heals so much quicker as well. just overall better and healthier complexion.
Please do an ASMR version where you apply these products. And would love to watch how you did your makeup in this video. It looks so good.
@MB yeah thirty is not as different from being 27 as some people think xD
Cindy Wallis I didn’t say that 30 wasn’t young, did I ? :/
It acts as a humectant just like the hyaluronic acid which I also apply (to a damp face)
It’s really helped with my dry skin.
Skincare = SELF-CARE! Do you see SUSAN Yaras videos? Informative!
i have needed this video!!
Can u enlist the products
Melanie has just entered the skincare party I'm here for it
My skin looks much older since I turned 30. I hate it. This gives me some hope. Gotta stick to that skincare routine!
Drink lots of Water and sleep more. Eat better too. Then you won't need all this rubbish.
Who else has watched this 4+ times with a notebook and started adding these items to their wishlist??? :D
Amazing tips!!
I’m suffering with acne at the moment but I’m really trying to sort it out:/
I know I'm five months late but I've been in the same boat for years myself, I wish us both the best lol❤
I really recommend face halo for taking off makeup or just washing your face in the morning. Super environmental friendly too!

i like your hair so so much it looks so healthy and smooth ... so can you please do a hair care tutorial?
Spots or not your just amazing
The new confidence has you glowing✨💚✨
It's clearly paying off because you are GLLOOWWWWWINGGGGG!
I adore this, your skin is beautiful, but could you do a hair tutorial/video?! I'm obsessed with your hair, it's so lush.
Skincare is definitely where I indulge most. Liah Yoo and James Welse have changed my skin for the better with their skincare knowledge
Loving the music from studio ghibli in the intro ✨
Amaya Williams-Segovia I have never even heard of these, will check them out! Do you have a link for some good ones? 🥰
I use these www.bambaw.com/products/bamboo-makeup-remover-pads :)
They sell them in Holland and Barrett too! 9 euro only for a pack!
@@melaniemurphyofficial Definitely better for the environment too
Have you had them for a while? I wonder how long term they are. :D
Just an advice but you should use the kiehl oil last
Water based products first and oils only after that
If you put the moisturizer after the oil, the moisturizer won’t be able to absorb and it will just sit on the top
Great products btw and very useful content
Thanks for the link this was new information for me as well! :)
Love this, thanks for sharing Mel! as a fellow 30-yr-old lady i feel like i'm in the same spot right now, like as we've grown, we have to grow & evolve our skincare routine!

Hi. Can you please add names of your products you have been using in the written section please with links would be great!
I’m such a fan. I bought your book yesterday so the timing of this is awesome. Thanks so much for making this and for all that you do :)
Oo I’m excited! Your skin looks so great 💕 Can’t wait to see what you’ve done. My skin is dry and breakout prone too 😬

I love your skincare and beauty content, both for the facts and because it's so calming to hear about and really interesting because I'm nosy and like to see other people's techniques.
I love your accent! Also found this video very helpful since I have fought acne since I was a teen (now I´m 32 so whew).
Awww studio Ghibli in the beginning ❤️ great choice and thank you for your tips
Sally Rose these replies are fab ☺️ One of the things I use that has no fragrance is the retinol night oil mentioned & it’s incredible 🤤
Can you please do a hair care routine!
You always looks so fresh and hydrated and that Irish accent. Love it!
More skincare videos please!!! I like "get unready with mes" and you could feature new masks and different face tools amidst your everyday products to keep a new/different aspect to each video. I would def tune in. Lol 😘 xoxo
Please make a full video about your microneedling experience! ❤️
Ugh bae 😍
I love all your skincare vids!!

YESSSS to the Studio Ghiblio music at the beginning! I see you Melanie
I LOVE THAT SO MANY OF YOU RECOGNISE IT AHHHHH
I cannot wait for your microneedling vlog!!! And yes, love the skincare vids 😊 thank you
In terms of my skin-care guru's, you are 'up there'
Not to add ANOTHER product to your list... but if you’re looking for a moisturising way to cleanse then oil cleansing is the way to go😍 oil dissolves oil, and of course nourishes your skin too
Mainly checked to see if you had SPF, every dermatologist would say you need it every single day not just in the summer. It's the main thing that ages our skin and gives wrinkles.
Also retinol (tretinoin) is one of the only skincare ingredient that has over 20 years of scientific evidence on improving cell turnover (great for collagen and anti aging) which is why dermatologists recommend it.
It's great that you had both
OH 100% I never skip that step! xxx
Thanks so much for these tips/introduction to new products Melanie! Will definitely be giving some a try 💞
New subscriber here watched your video for the first time please do a makeup tutorial on this makeup would love to see.
Rewatching this after the facial massage video, you're really inspiring me to have a good skincare routine. I recently got a jelly oil cleanser and it feels amazing on my skin. Also politely demanding a video showing us all your skincare products and what you do/don't like about them 😋💚
Really informative, love the products.. please make a video on applying it start to finish xx
SKINCARE COLLECTION video please
Hey I am new to your channel and I am hooked. I am 28 & now after seeing wrinkles around my eyes area, I am aware of a good skin care routine. I want to do all these and started couple of things mentioned in my twenties but then forgot as I feel lazy. Now will wait to order these recommended ones after finishing my Olay bottles.
Btw products links would have been so helpful anyway, thankyou for sharing your routine
Melanie pleaseee make a haircare video !!
The glow on your skin is just goals! 💚
Another great video and I hope for the application video!
As I am a poor uni Student I can only dream of your products but you have finally convinced me to start using some spf 😂
I like that you don’t use any harsh scrubs or anything x
I used to, thinking I had to scrub to keep acne away and the flakes of skin it brought, but goodness after learning about the damage they can do over time I quit that shit! Xxx
@@melaniemurphyofficial Yours and Susan Yaras video have made me realise that I need to stop using my salycilic acid scrub to a similar active Cleanser
Could you do a “what I eat in a day “ for acne ? :) your skin is beautiful
Melanie Murphy thank you v much!! ☺️
Just a suggestion ☺️
love love love your skincare vids ! thank you for posting this 🌻
Please make a video on undereye care
You have to try etude house products, and Lululun’s sheet masks (green, red, gold)
Added to a playlist as soon as I clicked. But, liked as soon as I heard the studio ghibili music ❤️
Oh god, thank you for mentioning the Skingredients sunscreen! I’ve been looking for good spf for ages (mine has to be oil free, vegan and non codemogenic with spf 50, not an easy combo to find!)
Get out of here! Using the body shops facial massager while watching this! 🤣 Glad you mentioned it, such an underrated product 👌🏼
Also, if I can’t acquire it, could you please recommend other brands that have a similar effect or that you love and are easy to get??🙏🏻
Thank you in advance!! Greetings from Mexico!
This was such an interesting video!! It might be a good idea tho to look into washable face pads instead of cotton ones as theyre just as good but are better for the environment :) hope this tip is helpful xx
