I actually owned them quite by chance. I discovered the Godzilla gang on closeout of a local department store. I was excited and bummed to discover them and a entire series of shogun warriors metal ships and robots in various sizes. It was the last day of the sale and I wasn't able to get any of the shoguns. They were extremely cheap but I didn't have enough to get everything.
Very interesting and informative video. You had your Saturday afternoon Godzilla movies too! This was a GREAT time to be a kid! Godzilla and Doctor Who RULED my Saturdays! My original Shogun Warriors Godzilla still sits on my shelf. He will be by my side forever! Again, great review! You are the standard for informative videos. I had the Ultraman playset. Is was "OK" but was not very detailed. The buildings had stickers to represent the sides of skyscrapers. There were little trigger plates that would make the buildings collapse. Still a good set for giant monster battles.
I'm glad to be reminded of the Godzilla's Gang set, and the current modern versions of said Monsters to represent them (except Antlar, but in my opinion, Antlar is the superior bug Kaiju there, so it's a more-than worthy alternative). There's apparently a 5 inch scale Godzilla 1954 and MechaG 1974 being released by Bandai in the near future, so I imagine those would be right at home in the New Godzilla's Gang, as well as the other 500 series figures.
Tremendous! I'm always interested to hear how people discover things. For some reason my household had the VHS of the Megalon movie and I watched it to death. Plus in 85 my grandma Gerda took us to see Godzilla 85 and I just remembered lots of fire and volcanoes until re-watching it years later.
it's nice to see someone who collects rare Kaiju stuff! brings back memories of playing with my neighbor's Godzilla (Shogun Warrior)
Monster Meanies by Carlin Playthings Inc. was another line of Kaiju figures from the 70s. They had a Godzilla, Kong and two Ultraman looking monsters.
Super cool I had forgotten these great memory.
Move over Kool and Slickster, Godzilla's got a brand new bag baby!
Nice video! I remember that Creature Double Feature was such a huge deal back in the day. 😊

Great video! Very cool to hear and see the love of Godzilla’s Gang in the 70s and how the passion has continued until now.

Great video!
Amazed every time by your knowledge. A great monstrous collection 👍
Fantastic video and knowledge. Never been in to Godzilla, but I find it interesting.
Awesome Video. As always I learned a lot.
It's not just about the mass destruction and monsters, but the edumacation along the way.
