I've been a cashier since 1981. Not only is every company different, technology keeps changing. I've actually ran a “Sweda” register, and just about everything that's come since. Rules vary from company to company too. Where I work at now, is the best job I've had, it's a culture shock having managers that care.
Shut up, take notes, ask if you don’t understand. Ask *again* if you didn’t understand the first time. ASK *one more time* if you’re drawing a blank, but perhaps it is time to take step by step notes (a cheat sheet) until you’ve reached a certain level of confidence.
I am the exact opposite of this new employee when I start a new job. I am very polite, want to learn even though I have experience, feel nervous for at least the first week, and I do not show any attitude. In fact, I am always nice to everybody I come in contact with...
People don't REALLY change. Especially people who behave like this. They only get a slight inclination to hide their true narcissic behavior for a bit longer, sometimes. She was 'phubbing' aka 'phone snubbing' BEFORE, literally starting the job, acting like she deserves special treatment and is above the rules. The entitlement and arrogance make me want to vomit.
Most places I’ve worked at have that rule. I’ve only seen one exception and that was people standing in the back putting products into boxes to ship out

Right! I’ve worked the register in several different stores and each time I have to ask for help because it’s ever so slightly different each time
I applauded when she was yelled at by the customer. The karma was beautiful.

Yep I’ve worked with this type of before
These type of people never work out.
She did THEM a favor, raising those red flags. They should have immediately sent her packing. Keeping her around is just asking for trouble.

That's what they ALL CLAIM...
@JimiSparx-yw3gb Maybe, but in my case, it is true!

I worked at Chipotle and wasn't even allowed to take my phone out during work hours. This new hire would have been fired the first day.

I wish I was officially trained. They just kinda said figure it out😂
Great video. A good resource I intend to pass along to our general store management and district teams.
No phones at register for security
And no other registers nearby that are open?
I'm slow. How does having a phone at a register a security risk?
Being able to take pics of credit card info...@@louniece1650
I have this SAME wig! I make poor life choices BUT Rollercoasters are fun! 😂
Im glad it ended up with a happy ending :')
She would be gone in an hour.
😂😂😂😂 true
“Just a cashier job.” “Not that big of a deal.” You’re dealing with money-that’s always a big deal.
Ok, wait...'she told them in the interview'...why was she hired?
I'm off training this person less than a minute and a half in.
Gen-X at work.
This is terrible!!
What a bad attitude
