I personally put 15" 5 spoke polished aluminum wheels on our '90 Century (fwd), along with Cooper Cobra rwl radial tires. It was as close as I could get at the time to a Torq Thrust look. This year Century vaguely reminds me of the 66 - 67 A body GM offerings, on a bit smaller platform which was why we bought it when it was new. I'm working on a '90 Ford Ranger I dragged out of a field a couple years ago and plan on using 15"x7" aluminum 5 slot wheels on it. I'm old enough to not care what is in vogue and am reliving what I liked when I was young. Might even put whitewall 70 series radials on it, which would not have been my preference back then.

Thank you very much for this!
I am doing suspension and transmission upgrades.
The 6 speed manual with suspension upgrades demand the upgrade to the wheels because the tires simply can’t handle the additional speed the car is now capable of!
69 Super Bees were gear limited to 117 MPH now with 750 HP 6 speeds and Hotchkis suspension it will blow the tires off without trying 😅

KEN! after all that you did not tell us what wheel and tire sizes you are going with!!!! come on man! LOL just kidding. love the piece. I am working on a 67 firebird with mini tubs and a Scott's Hotrods full chassis. And I really have no idea what is going to fit at this point. I am thinking once the chassis is under it, I will need to mock some stuff up and figure out what fits comfortably. It's a pretty expensive mistake to get it wrong. I am hoping for 18x8 in the front and 18x10s in the rear. Scott's is telling me up to 295's in the rear with 10" - 0 offset. Any way appreciate the piece and yes that is the question on every ones mind.👍

For comparison 2nd gen Fbody at 2:00 see those huge tires? now see the nose dip on the corners under hard braking to control exact speed? This car i am just described to you would not do that and stay flat throughout that run, and give dale earnhardt's bfg gm goodwrench corvette a run for it's money around a race track, not a roundy rounder. And 'THEY' need to offer performance tires for 15" wheels the people demand it!

I recently bought a 67 Chevy II project car with a 407 sbc, in the process of installing the TCI 4-link. All 4 tires are 205/60R15, on 7.5" American Racing wheels. I haven't decided whether to stick with 15's, or change to 17's. However, I have decided on 265's on 9" rims at the back. Am I correct that I should maintain the same overall diameter as my current setup to prevent speedometer problems? Is it important to make all 4 overall diameters the same as each other? Also, If I have 15's in the front, is it necessary to also have 15's in the back? Or can I have different rim sizes in the front than in the back?

Fronts were 15X4.5 with 185 R 15 redlines , rears were 17X7s with 235R60-17s . Stock suspension with partially filled air shocks , stock wheel tubs and no hammering or cutting of the lips . Nobody in the back seat either. They just cleared , by a redheaded frog's hair , if you get my drift . I hope this helps you .
