Hey tony, very good video, first time I have seen your videos and they are really good, thanks to you for the time and effort to make these, I have one question though, how much primer did you use in total for all 4 coats.
Thanks mick
+taylormkct I'd say there was around the area of 0.75 litres per coat at a guess but not 100% on that as this was a while back
Hi. Any chance of doing a video of how to prep and spray using cellulose for us amatures that can only use celly on old classics?
Question: Shouldn't an epoxy primer be used on the repare areas and then cover the entire car in build primer?
Question: What are the chances that a single stage urethane paint will react with 2 stage base coat, the clear was sanded off.
Awesome videos
Epoxy is best used to seal the repair work yes but also bare areas and used as a general sealer , we will apply a thinner last coat of epoxy over the repair work then high build anyway , and as I said in the video very unlikely
Tony, a little bit of primer blocking stage would be nice to see. Keep up the nice work.
+clevo351 hi, thats no problem at all i filmed some of the blocking stage i did on this today so i can include that in part 2 for you , Tony
+Tonys_Refinishing Thats great Tony
+clevo351 part two is now uploaded for you
Hey tony, really good video learned so much, but can you tell me how much primer did you use in total for all the 4 coats.
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Great job!
Im doing body work on my vehicle, and already did my fill work and 3 coats of high build 2k primer...
Today i blocked it all out, and have a few cut throughs...
Is there a way i can prime those spots without having to spray more high build?
Because the primer im using leaves a real heavy peel finish...
And it takes alot to sand it back smooth...
I used a 2.3 tip gun to apply, but i have sprayed it with my 1.7 tip and it still leaves peel...
Any help would be appreciated!
try and buy a cheap touch up gun off ebay or something and use etch primer or some thinned down high build just to spot a light coat on them if you look for the video on the anglia theres some info there on how i do it
Tonys_Refinishing
