Hi. I enjoy your videos, great job. Im getting a new cat 255 track skid steer. Sales man mentioned a advanced bucket vs the general purpose ones. I see you have used both. You mind in sharing your thoughts on it. My only concern is on specs it’s pretty heavier.
So you’ve got a standard bucket or an industrial bucket. We’ve gone to industrials on 2. Weight isn’t an issue. We run 80” on all 3 machines. I’d like it on the 3rd skid but I think it’s leaving in the spring. It’s replacement will have the industrial
Long driveway, does that get plowed or is it a seasonal home ? Was wondering how that new stone would hold up to plowing. I know not have plow all the way down on it , just curious
Land planes can’t grind the packed surface as well as a Harley rake. You can crown with a Harley rake because you can pull material into the middle. And if you don’t roll, the material won’t get evenly packed and eventually you’ll have low spots in your tracks
@ thanks for the insight! Plan on getting my feet wet in this business in 2025 starting small with driveways and odd jobs. Now trying to see if it would be financially smarter to get into a CTL right away or start with a tractor since they’re cheaper
Tractors cannot do what a skid can. Everyone starts with a tractor, myself included. But in the end it’s a waste of time. In addition to that, having the attachment in front of you is much better for your neck.
Nice machine
I'm glad to see your business is growing. Congratulations and continued growth. Nice Kitty CAT.

I thought it stood for
Vermont outdoor services but I could be wrong

It’ll be a mess. It’s near Champlain so it’ll never freeze
What does the VT in your name stand for?
Vermont
Is Harley rake better than a land plane? And why roll? In NC they just plane it crown it and track it in

@ thanks for the insight I definitely appreciate it!
Do you find it to be a bouncy machine? We rented one with your exact setup except it was a GC model and we found it to be bouncy.
I didn’t. But I also adjusted the sensitivity of each function how I wanted it
Congrats you definitely 💯 a CAT 🐈 fanboy but you can’t be 20 minutes away and good service 😅
