The patch animations are part of why I like Kirby's Epic Yarn a lot more than Yoshi's Wholly World. YWW doesn't have this same level of creativity. Its levels just pop in with no flare while Kirby adds some nice creativity to how the stages appear.

I’m conflicted on who has it worse, Kirby or the Snowman in Snow Land. Kirby had to fight King Dedede which he knew, but that snowman got destroyed into a small snowman. However, he is smiling at the end, so I do not know.
