I always loved that the cutscenes felt like a storybook being read
The way the narrator voices characters like Yin-Yarn, Meta Knight, and Dedede, sounds like he's reading a bedtime story to some kids
They could have easily had others do the voices, or even not had dialogue at all
But instead the characters talk, and are voiced by the man telling us the story
It's just so charming, I love it
It also helps that the narrator’s is REALLY good for telling stories, you just feel so relaxed
Reminds me of the model era of Thomas and Friends where the narrator had voices for all the characters in addition to his own.
The fact that he gives Meta Knight a pseudo-Adam West voice is easily my favourite part

Yin Yarn’s strategy for King Dedede, a relatively stupid penguin- an elaborate ambush involving yarn waddle dees.
His strategy for meta knight, a very powerful and impressive warrior always on his guard-

To be fair, at least King Dedede is only relatively stupid due to the setting he’s in. King Dedede is still a genius by human standards.
The fact this game was also made by a company called Good Feel is immensely satisfying.

Fun Fact: The narrator is David Frederick White. That name might not mean much to you... until you realize that he's the same guy who voiced Pigma in Starfox 64. It's amazing how this guy can pull off being a wholesome, comforting narrator after giving us a line as fucked up as "Daddy screamed REEEEEEEAAAAAL good before he DIED!"

Fun fact: he was planned to be a DLC dream friend, but he was scrapped due to an added rule where there could only be one character per mainline game, this rule also caused Shadow Kirby, Galactia Knight, Elline, and Drawcia to be scrapped.

@@ming7831 i know im kinda ruining the joke but this game was developed by goodfeel, the story is that they made a yarn based game but found it really boring, so they borrowed kirby and thats how this game came to be, basically, i think its safe to say this game doesnt coincide with what is actually canon, goodfeel prolly didnt know anything bout that stuff

Prince Fluff should’ve been in Star Allies and acted as the Whip Ability with a mix of Yoshi’s Wooly World type of fighting style.

Epic Yarn is such a relaxing game. It's _very_ easy, but that is 100% okay.
Sometimes you need an easy game to just chill and relax. Not every game has to be super challenging to be enjoyable.

This is genuinely such a sweet and beautiful story, the gameplay being the cherry on top. I love it so much and it’s kinda sad that Fluff hasn’t been seen since this game. 😞

I know he didn't say his name in Patch Land, but I think it's funny that the narrator just referred to Prince Fluff as *the boy" and "blue yarn boy".
This games brings back memories I had long forgotten...good to see it again. A bit bittersweet as I do miss that time, but hey, what's stopping me from replaying this game? Got a wiiu, could always find the game online and purchase it.
