I would love for you to do the “7 products that make me feel flawless” video. Allie Gaines just did one and I immediately thought of you. Anyway, hope you have a lovely day.
I got the Surrat foundation after watching your review, and I even used your choices of colour as my only reference and it worked out perfectly! it really helps watching your reviews especially when the brands aren’t available here in Singapore.
I would like to see the “most colorful” category changed to “closest color match” for the foundation tag. Thanks so much for sharing all this info about so many foundations!
I believe the spray action of the Dior foundation emulates the high-end air-brush machines many film and pro MUAs use, by aerating the pigment particles. I know a couple people who use these tools. There is a learning curve, but geez, they create absolutely ethereal looks.
can you do a review on hydrating primers please? as a dry sensitive eczema prone skin girl your face products recommendation has been a god send (i just bought the sisley suncream because of your top 5 foundation video and absolutely love it!)
Thank god you eventaully mentioned the armani luminous silk foundation I love it . Im going to try the surrat and chantacialle foundations next . Keep giving reviews . Thank you
I just recently started using liquid foundations again, after finding a primer that actually mattifies me for hours. Before I could only wear powder foundation, because of my ridiculously oily skin. But NOW, I'm going crazy for all the gorgeous foundations on the market! 😍😍
I agree! I have a LOT of great foundations now. Funny that, especially considering I'm hardly going out! However, I've told myself that I can start wearing 'to work' (I work from home), to make myself feel put together. It will be nice for my partner (and the mailman who delivers all my new foundations to me) to not see me with unbrushed hair and in my robe for once.
Thank you Michele for adding such an intelligent elegance to the makeup world. Your unapologetic enjoyment of luxury beauty is so relatable and joyful 🌷
I would love to hear your thoughts on Ellis Faas products Michele, particularly the Skin Veil foundation. I think you would adore it. The cream eyeshadows are also phenomenal. It’s a brand that doesn’t get much recognition however their products are absolutely top shelf luxury 💕
Yuhuuuu!!! Michelle please! A video about your powders!! I’m just trying to decide between sisley’s one or by terry or chantecaille...! Wich one for undereye area and wich one for face...! Thank you for all your recommendations!!! You are the best!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is an excellent idea! I sometimes get confused which powder works for under eyes, all over the face etc . I have dry skin so it will be great to know 😊
I think Mel Thompson has a video, where she talks about her powder collection and what spesific things she uses different powders for. She has a lot of good high end ones! 😊
My jaw literally dropped when you said the cost of cle de peau. I’m used to hearing about exorbitantly priced makeup but I think that might take the cake so far.
Foundation is so difficult for me as I’m allergic to one of the main components in chemical sunscreen. You’ve helped a ton in finding more options than I thought were out there!
My most expensive is my La Prairie ($245), the pot with the concealer on top. Absolutely beautiful and worth it to me! And my La Mer is definitely worth the hype!!
Ok so I've always been curious. How long have you used it and does it go a long way? I treat my skin so much better than ever in my 30s and after much trial and error. How does it stack up in skin results as well? Any difference noticed?
NaomiDollxoxo They are luxury item. You don’t really paid for result more for the prestige around the brand. The ingredients aren’t amazing its really basic full of fragrance wich irritate skin. You can easily get something around 50$ that does more for the skin! I know formulating very well of products so i base my decision on that because companies can’t lie about it. For exemple for a long time i used tatcha water cream wich is expensive and after 5 months i see no results whatsoever. I decided to try The ordinary wich is SO cheap and i have seem amazing result!
@@NaomiDollxoxo which one, the La Mer or the La Prairie? For longevity the La Mer wins, although both are long lasting on me. The La Prairie just makes my skin look so friggin beautiful, like a perfect version of itself, while the La Mer makes my skin look like perfect doll skin (natural finish vs a natural matte finish). I am super suuuper oily and the La Mer just lasts forever, even under a mask at work all day, while the La Prairie lasts, just not under a mask ALL day. For errands, yes, all day, no. Without a mask they both last equally great. While neither keeps my oils from coming through (not what I'm looking for anyway), neither breaks up or looks disgusting when the oils do make their way through, my skin just looks glowing and smooth! I am 42 and haven't noticed any skin care benefits from either, but that is only because I have a great skin care routine now so I really couldn't tell you unless I stopped using skin care and only used one of those to see if it actually makes a difference, know what I mean? Oh! I have used the La Mer for years now and the La Prairie only for about 2 years, after finally breaking down and buying it when I saw Mel Thompson review it for her combo skin, lol!!
I use the La Mer foundation and it’s honestly the best I’ve ever used, I used to suffer with acne and Comedones all around the side of my face, I think due to make up, since I’ve been using La Mer my skin has been so much better. It holds up really well and I think it’s quite unique, nothing I’ve ever used is like it. I will never go back to a cheaper foundation now. I’m 48 so have tried many foundations 🤣
@@NaomiDollxoxo Hello! Not Amy, but I'm a long time user of the La Prairie foundation. It is incredibly good. A little goes a very long way, and I agree with Amy that it makes my skin absolutely beautiful. I have dry skin and it lasts all day on me. It looks phenomenal from the moment you put it on until you take it off, so it's extremely reliable in that way. It is also reliable throughout the entire year, no matter the weather/humidity/heat/cold/etc. I don't have to think about using a certain primer or moisturizer to make it work, it just always works. As far as skincare benefits - my skin feels hydrated the entire time I wear it, and my skin looks and feels great when I take it off. No matter how long its been on. I can't say the same for any other foundation I've tried. There's absolutely nothing I would change about it.
The one foundation i constantly get compliments is the la prairie caviar i always use your recommendations. Love basically everything you recommended but hands down the best best
Happy week everyone! 🌻 this video is much appreciated! but I always struggle with my shade 😩. I think the Chanel light foundation checks ✅ all the boxes for me 😃
As a Torontonian, I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay here, although it was brief. Toronto is a great city and I hope you get back here at some point for a longer stay! I agree with your thoughts on Dior Airflash. Hands down, the best foundation I own. It’s simply amazing. GA Silk foundation is a close second!
Hi Michele! Once again I loved your video! Quick question: I have combo skin with dry cheeks and a little oily t-zone. Do you think the Surrat foundation could work for me? It's quite expensive and I hesitate to invest blindly.
Love hearing your thoughts on foundations because I also have dry skin and don’t like full coverage. Question about the DiorFlash: How does it do under a mask? Does it transfer much? Because of my dry, more mature skin, I use very little powder over my makeup, and so I would love to find a foundation that works with my skin and doesn’t transfer. I used DiorFlash several years ago, and so I know that it works for me, but I wasn’t wearing a mask over it. I would love to have a bit of coverage on my skin for when I’m at, say, an outdoor restaurant eating and, therefore, don’t have my mask on. Thanks!
I'm using Suratt and Futurist Hydra these days. Hydra has gooood SPF, so it's a top choice for daytime wear if I need to. Suratt is my go-to for evenings :)
I agree about the CT foundation. It’s ok for short wear but that’s all. Awwww 🥰 Luminous Silk is nostalgic to me too! I was happy to see that Guerlain L’essentiel made an appearance as well, 😘
Michele will you please do a top 5 or so foundations for fall/winter? There are so many to new ones but I’d like to know your thoughts on what works best for the fall. Entertaining video as always. Stay safe girlie 💕
Which is better? Tom Ford or Sisley cushion foundation. I am 57 and have dry dehydrated skin with redness on cheeks. I have just bought the Sisley - it hasn’t arrived yet. We are going into summer here in Oz.
If I had to choose between Dior Foundation and Guerlain Foundation, which one would you pick for me. Gurlain is very good with their skin care products, their foundation also would have skin hydrating properties, what's your say Michelle?
I’d love to see a tag where you have someone create unlabeled sample containers of 10 liquid foundations from your collection and WITHOUT SMELLING them, put each one on over a period of days and see how you’d rate it and if you know what it is. I think that would be FASCINATING!
Sarah Kalnajs was this done by Kelsee Brianna Jaí or Jackie Aina? Or another influencer? I remember watching something similar but I can’t think of the influencer right now....
I agree with you, I don’t like the new tinted moisturizer but still love the tinted sunscreen I have really bad rosacea prone skin and it doesn’t bother me and covers my redness
Michele, thank you yet again for a fun video. If you like the Dior Flash, I think you’ll also like the Dior Dream Skin Cushion with SPF 50. It’s great. It, and the Sisley Tinted Sunscreen, are my two faves.
Like you, I don't like feeling my makeup either. On your recommendation I purchased CDP The Foundation, and although it's bloody expensive, this gave me that glowy skin-like dewy finish. Love this video, Michele!
My recent discoveries are YSL touché eclat sheer foundation (also referred to as bb cream or tinted moisturizer on some websites) and Kosas tinted oil. Both are so sheer that you can’t even tell you have foundation on, but both even up your skin amazingly. And YSL is also buildable: you can apply it with your fingers like a moisturizer or you can apply it with a sponge in several layers for more coverage.
I bought the Surrat foundation based on your recommendation as well as the Tom Ford and I love them both. Maybe the Tom Ford a little bit more cause I find it lasts better but both are amazing! Thanks for the great advice.
I love that you applied the eye palette tag to foundations! I was glued to my phone as if we were in personal conversation, and I was waiting for lifesaving information;) Love you and always appreciate and enjoy your content. ❤️
Will you be testing out/ reviewing the new hourglass face palette? I have my eye on it but I always check for your reviews on luxury makeup first! Love your channel so much :)
Think you would love the Suqqu rich glow foundation Michelle! It’s topped my list ahead of Chantecaille future skin and Cle de Peau The foundation. (Just in case you want to add to the other 48 foundations in your rotation 🤭). I rotate all my makeup too, that’s part of the fun 😊
Love your video Michelle!! I’m actually thinking of trying the Glossier tinted foundation, more affordable for me. I’m hoping it can work for me as an everyday basic foundation? The under eye concealer looks good too with this!😃
Oh 😮 Michele! “ Foundations! “ A tough beauty topic! Finding the right shade & one that actually looks flawless is extremely difficult, but when you find it.... 🥰 awwwww it’s LOVE ❤️! Surratt Dewdrop and Chanel EDT are all I need. Using up everything else. I will purchase a new foundation only when you say it surpasses Surratt. My foundation preference is right in line yours. Thanks for the fun helpful content and awesome swatches.
I tried the Surat foundation drops based on your review and didn’t like it. I have dry skin and it made my skin looked patchy. I used my fingers and brush second time but still wasn’t impressed. Do you have tips On how to apply that might make a difference?
Hi, I am thinking of buying the Surratt Dew drop foundation, but a lot of reviews are critical of the packaging. Is that something you’ve had any issues with?
I was soooo looking for this. I’ve struggled finding the perfect foundation for a while. I actually don’t wear a lot of foundation, I prefer to wear CC creams because they tend to have a lighter feel to them. But living in Florida whenever I have a special occasion I do want to wear a foundation. I also have dry and a more matured skin ( I’m 48) so I went with one of the original foundations I heard you liked from Surratt. I wasn’t able to get the dew drop then because it wasn’t available in my shade, which is 4. I have seen it now in the Beautylish site, but I like the one I got. I was just wondering what would you say is the difference between the dew drop and the wand from Surratt? I still think about the dew drop and because as you know, we are always looking for the best next thing, I wonder if that one would be better In your opinion. Thanks you’re always so much help. 🥰
Love the shoutout to Toronto, which is where I've lived all my life. You should definitely come back when the rules allow travel again because it's a great foodie city
Good afternoon my friend 💕 what a great tag this series is. I was so happy to see the foundation category done. This is the hardest for me to get right. I know I’m not alone, picking off a tiny swatch online is hard. You always make it easier and I have a few on my list, but holding off for now. You look so beautiful with the Sisley today and your hair looks amazing!! Love ya ♥️♥️
Love seeing your beautiful foundation collection and how you classify them. I find it fascinating. Since the pandemic, most days I use my Elta MD Tinted Sunscreen, and some concealer. You make me want to start using foundation on a daily basis. Thanks, Michele. Enjoy your day. ♥️
Michelle You are awesome! Please never stop making amazing videos!! I just tried the dior too LOL. I can’t believe how long it lasted also. Such a fabulous video.
Hi Michelle! In place of most colorful, you could do best color match. I’ve found some foundations out there that have such a great match to my skin but not necessarily my favorite finish. Have a great day! 😘
👍Loved this video. As always, your insight is appreciated especially during my application of the chantecaille tinted moisturizer today. Lol. My ride-or-die foundation continues to be Armani luminous silk foundation; call it my comfort zone, or nostalgia.
Hi Michele, I wanted to share that I tried the New radiant fluid matte Cle de Peau foundation with the primer-Cle de Peau long-lasting Hydrating Veil. With the Veil, the foundation lasts on my skin 3 hours longer than without it. But here’s the interesting thing I wanted to report, with the Veil under the foundation it gives the skin an even more illuminating look, however it seems to slightly reduce the pigment of the foundation (i wear O30 so it’s not quite an O20 but say in between the shades). It still looked beautiful. My inexperienced beauty skills thought the reduced pigment appearance could be due to the sunscreen in the Veil and sunscreen in the foundation together 🤷🏻♀️. The veil had chemical sunscreens though, so still unsure as to why the slight decrease in pigment. Let me know what you think of the Cle de Peau Veil if you ever use it? It’s hydrating, i think you’d like it.
Thank you so so much for the report!! So useful! I will have to try the Veil, and I wonder if the lightening effect is merely from primer thinning out the foundation... 🤔 Or if the radiance in the primer added to a lighter effect... interesting!
SPACE NK is having a buy 2 get 1 free sale! Includes some Chantecaille, Sisley, By Terry, Surratt products.....some of which Ive never even heard of before...Now Michelle has me buying.. ....lol
Thanks for nice review! And I’ve a lot foundations and still thinking to get Tom Ford you mentioned and Chanel newest one 🤦🏼♀️ 🌹love your recommendations! Thanks again 👍🏻💃🏽😊
I love foundations but I always go back to dior airflash. If I spray a couple dots on my face and then blend it in with an artis brush it works really well for me.
Good morning... I’m so glad your doing this video .. I just ordered my Hourglass after sending back my Charlotte Tilbury but come to find out it worked with a different base but I don’t want to have to work that hard to get one to work for me .. and I’m going to get the Sisley foundation cushion and the Tom Ford stick since I have a 20% a foundation ( I wonder if it would work on multiple bottles? Hmm I should ask about that. If it will work that way I may get the La mer also
Would love to know if you have a "most repurchased " foundation

Some people can't be loved enough! Love this channel 💓 😍
i think u deserve more subscribers. reli nice and high quality vids.
Thank you so much 🙏
Love the shoutout to Toronto, which is where I've lived all my life. You should definitely come back when the rules allow travel again because it's a great foodie city
hi Michele, what about the tinted moisturizer by chanel that you loved so much and looked so good on you.?
Good afternoon my friend 💕 what a great tag this series is. I was so happy to see the foundation category done. This is the hardest for me to get right. I know I’m not alone, picking off a tiny swatch online is hard. You always make it easier and I have a few on my list, but holding off for now. You look so beautiful with the Sisley today and your hair looks amazing!! Love ya ♥️♥️
Thanks Lauren! Hope you had a good day
Love seeing your beautiful foundation collection and how you classify them.
Thanks Kayce!
Great video! What lipstick are you wearing??? It’s such a lovely shade!
Its a Sisley Lipstick. you can see her yesterday's video to get the full details
Lovely video as always Michele. I just have to say how beautifully matched your nails and lipstick shade are ;))
Can you also do a favorite primer video? Luv this review Michele! Cheers!
have you tried the new chanel ultra foundation it's makes the skin so nice x
Would you recommend the Tom Ford shade and illuminate foundation on oily skin?
What shade are you in the kevin Aucoin .. we have similar skin tone and would love to try that foundation
Sorry if you already said this..but what are you wearing in this video..it's beautiful
Hi Michelle! In place of most colorful, you could do best color match. I’ve found some foundations out there that have such a great match to my skin but not necessarily my favorite finish. Have a great day! 😘
This was such a fun video to watch. I can't stop admiring your makeup look😍 it's beautiful!
I love that you did this tag but for foundations! Such a great idea - really enjoyed 😊
Love the foundation video!
Very informative! Thanks !❤️
Great video and so lovely to hear you liked my city! Greetings from Toronto! 🇨🇦
Includes some Chantecaille, Sisley, By Terry, Surratt products.....some of which Ive never even heard of before...Now Michelle has me buying.. ....lol
I loved seeing all your foundations!! 😊
Thanks for nice review! And I’ve a lot foundations and still thinking to get Tom Ford you mentioned and Chanel newest one 🤦🏼♀️
🌹love your recommendations! Thanks again 👍🏻💃🏽😊
I love foundations but I always go back to dior airflash. If I spray a couple dots on my face and then blend it in with an artis brush it works really well for me.
This was fun! Are you going to review the new La Mer Soft Moisture Powder Foundation? Keen to see a review on that xx
Hi! What are your thoughts on It cosmetics foundation? ❤️
Agree with you about Charlotte Tilbury .....and worst of all it oxidises to orange 😖. Also agree with the Surratt 😍
I have dry skin and im all about the glowy skin life! Love your content Michele 💋💄
Hi Michele.. what is your shade in tom ford cushion foundation?!
Now I want to try a bunch of these foundations!
What about Westman Atelier ? I thought you loved?
Good morning... I’m so glad your doing this video .. I just ordered my Hourglass after sending back my Charlotte Tilbury but come to find out it worked with a different base but I don’t want to have to work that hard to get one to work for me .. and I’m going to get the Sisley foundation cushion and the Tom Ford stick since I have a 20% a foundation ( I wonder if it would work on multiple bottles? Hmm I should ask about that. If it will work that way I may get the La mer also
Can you do a minimal (no foundation) makeup routine? Curious what face products you would use. Thank you.
