geared cable winches

With tractive forces of between 5 and 7.2 t, the Pfanzelt S-line are the entry level cable winches into the professional geared cable winch class. The design is the same as with the larger models, only the dimensions have been rescaled to match the size of the usually smaller tractors.
The cable drum that is mounted in the driving direction generates low cable payout forces of only 30 Newtons. As the wide drum has a larger internal diameter, with standard equipment the reduction in tractive force is a relatively very low 21%.
The especially robust stacking shield made of high strength fine grain steel with its wedge form ensures maximum stability even with sideways pulls. - Due to the low position of the cable infeed roller, a separate bottom cable infeed roller is not required for cable work. Outriggers that can be controlled from the side mean that the cable winch can be conveniently attached or removed from the tractor.
Power transmission via a wormgear and helical gearbox is extremely robust, durable and virtually maintenance-free. Accurate and reliable cable work is assured by an independent hydraulic circuit and sensitive control of the brake and clutch operation by multi-disc sets. The Pfanzelt PPS precision control - unique on the market - offers even greater safety. With the PPS, the operator can simply and rapidly adjust the clutch/brake crossover to various forwarding situations. In this way, for example, the clutch/brake crossover can be also especially adapted for hazardous tree felling work.
Yet more safety is created by the load lowering valve, with which the operator can gradually release the strain on a loaded cable.
Neat winding of the cable is assured by the optional Pfanzelt cable distributor arm with integrated load-variable cable infeed brake.
Operating comfort is increased by the Pfanzelt cable payout device. This device presses the cable firmly against the cable drum up to a large radius via several application rollers. This special attachment ensures safe operability even if the cable is soiled or damaged.
Pfanzelt S-line cable winches come as standard with a wireless remote control for safe operation in a way that protects standing timber.
