This is a wonderful interview Colin, it's lovely to hear his voice and yours of course too..🙂 He says comedy has changed and I'm sure in nearly 50yrs of doing it he would of seen a huge shift but he was still popular with the different generations. His TV skits were funny with a certain charm to them much better than the likes of Doc Martin. Many of these shows tended to play the so called country folk as simple people but Jethro all though he plays the fool he did it cleverly, being a trickster. In his films he was always upto some mischief usually at the expense of some up country folk, perhaps thats why Doc Martin is the way it is, the producers possibly seeking vengeance. 🤔 Anyway thank you for sharing the interview and to the family of Jethro may his passing not bring you all but pain and sorrow may it also bring you the warmest memories of a much loved man..❤
I had an old tape of his before he got famous. It was live at Penryn Rugby club. It was a bootleg. That was before the Trebogus one was in circulation. Wish I still had it. .
