2024/12/22 God's Indescribable Gift of Love Luke 2:1-20; John 3:1-17

“The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth answer once and for all the question, ‘What is God's heart toward me?’ At the point of our deepest betrayal, when we had run our farthest from him and gotten so lost we could never find our way home, God came and died to rescue us. You have never been loved like this. He has come to save you in every way a person can be saved. That is God's heart toward you.”
Do you believe that, or does it sound too good to be true? Maybe you’re thinking, “Yes, God did do everything that was necessary for my sins to be forgiven, and I know I’m going to Heaven when I die, but Jesus’ death was the only way to appease God’s anger against my sin. God can accept me now, because of Jesus, but love me...really love me...I’m not so sure about that”.
