I love a new detail in this game. If a scientist dies (whether by your own cold blooded murderous ways or failing to be the hero and slay the attacker) the face of the scientist who met their end is crossed off in red. That's a cool and depressing detail.
This was the only part of the OST I just don’t like. The fact that this is the only game in the series to NOT feature the iconic level clear and game over themes.
Overkill didn't had it too, but at least that game is so far off from the series that is doesnt feel weird. This remake on the other hand, just doesn't feel like The house of the dead. The devs even messed the ending of the game with this theme. In the OG, the ending is sad because the mission is finally over but sophie "died", so there is the last words from rogan or G and the sad ending theme. In the remake, it's also sad in the last words from the agents, than out of nowhere is this cheerfull theme.
