The interesting thing is the drummer, Chris Turner, actually recorded all of the Japanese instrumental parts on the album himself in a home studio (I can’t remember which interview he said this in, but it’s out there somewhere)
Jude Flynn lol the drum playtrough is way worse hahaha playing is on point but the camera work is just fucking disgusting in the worst way you can possibly imagine
How are these guys keeping their chugs so short and choppy? This sounds like a studio track, where you can more easily apply gates to remove the tailing end of a chug, but are they also sound like this live?
Jim Root uses them for a reason. i can definitely hear the Orange tone in the “clean” section if you can call it that but the tone through most of it is incredibly modern
@@littledude565 it depends on your amp and guitar that you're using, for me. I got that scrape sound from my Electra 1973 MPC model with ernie ball strings. And on a line 6 spider iv so. It just depends on the gear and what options of tones you have for your guitar/amps
Fabi GTR 432 drop b, en todas sus canciones la usan, por eso su primera canción de su álbum debut Fourthythirtytwo y lo de #432Crew por parte de nosotros los fans. Xd
I love that you guys switch back and forth on certain parts even though it really isn't needed! Challenging and creative!
I feel like if I was in this band I would have anxiety from all the crazy time signatures. It's crazy how they stay in rythem
Jonathan I know! It's mad. Definitely one of the best and most complex metalcore bands around right now.
It's not that hard. If you know the song, you know where you're supposed to strum. You dont even have to pay attention.
playing live with a full band is still very different. without and in-ear or some sort of instrument to stay in sync its bad fast
ya
ya
The camera man seems to be on a boat again
at least it's steadier waters, i suppose.
Play-throughs are full fledged music videos these days
amanda ! 0-3
amanda !
Lol Was that your comment on the drum playthrough?
a he's on the alaska
Literally the most talented band like god damn so underrated
Now do one for Deadweight, please. Drum playthrough, as well.
Patrick Hogan i really wanna see that Deadweight drum play through
I want a full drum playthrough of the album 😂
Patrick Hogan all I want to see is a deadweight drum play through
HELL YES SOMONE SAID IT! i totally agree with this
Any playthroughs. Any at all. Oceans Ate Alaska is so fucking talented.
Do yourself a favor and watch the drum playthrough as well. Just as incredible.
Madness. The fast chugging part goes so hard
Tone is incredible!
I got lost thinking it was longer and got upset when it was over..replayed and loved
they make it looks so easy...dawn
Well i'd imagine so. If you can't perform your own work then don't become a musician. **Cough** lars ulrich **Cough**
not downing their skills in any way, but it's not the most technical song in the world
Um its just a bunch of palm muting. Lol wtf?
I mean... it is pretty easy for people who actually play the guitar. No disrespect intended. The drumming on the other hand is absolute insanity.
Its pretty easy. Recording might've taken work!
Love yours playthrough!!! Now we need the bass and the drums playthrough! Keep the good job guys!
there's already a drum playthrough.
Yes, i noticed later. Thanks anyway.
I love how they both very similar parts and switch back and forth. It's as there's not even a dedicated lead/rythem guitarist
Those guitars mannnn
It's about fucking time! Thanks Adam and Jibs!
You cannot help but bang your head to the beat at 0:35. They both did it too. lol
I didnt stop doing that the entire song haha
can't wait to hear the new music live!! see you guys next month!
Thanks for uploading a guitar playthrough!! I'd really like to see one for 'Covert'!
光
Your songs are always fun to play, going to learn it right now!
They are robots😳
hey oceans! keep eating alaska
Was expecting that oriental guitar part to be played too :( still an amazing cover of an amazing song from an amazing band!
ImDeath sorry to be that douche... But technically it's not a cover haha
Nicolas Walczuk Wasnt paying much attention when i wrote that... haha my mistake.
Well its not really a guitar I think...But they recorded it live, no samples :D No idea how its called tho
I'm pretty sure that's a cymbalom you're talking about ;)
The interesting thing is the drummer, Chris Turner, actually recorded all of the Japanese instrumental parts on the album himself in a home studio (I can’t remember which interview he said this in, but it’s out there somewhere)
This is absolutely, amazingly, disgustingly brutal
It's like their cameraman has vertigo
Jude Flynn Fearless records playthrough videos are turning into music videos. It's so hard to focus with unnecessary cuts and movements of the camera.
Jude Flynn it adds to the quality of the video
its a guitar play through, its for guitar players that want to learn how to play the song, so we need to see whats going on fully
Jude Flynn lol the drum playtrough is way worse hahaha playing is on point but the camera work is just fucking disgusting in the worst way you can possibly imagine
Thts kinda the point, adds to the song
you know a song is crazy when the riffs make you laugh like wtf how
Please release a tab book please, I will pay a pretty penny for one
Probably fav song off the album guitar wise at least
they are machines
Great playing, as always. Keep up the good work guys.
oh hell yea more Oceans Ate Alaska
This inspired to get those orange stacks like I've been wanting
yes guys!!
Damn love the Japanese theme of the album
oh myyy I want to have a band just like these guys
IM DYING !!!! SO AWESOME !!!!
How they write in this fashion, is beyond me.
How are these guys keeping their chugs so short and choppy? This sounds like a studio track, where you can more easily apply gates to remove the tailing end of a chug, but are they also sound like this live?
Palm muting and noise gate do the magic.
I didn't know Orange amps could sound so brutal.
Jim Root uses them for a reason. i can definitely hear the Orange tone in the “clean” section if you can call it that but the tone through most of it is incredibly modern
no one could ever possibly can cover this .. no one ever..
Brutal #Djent + #Deathcore combine...
How do they do make their gojira scrapes so announced I tried doing it and it sounds like ass
Use an overdrive pedal in-front of a high gain amp :)
littledude565 lol I know if this is sarcasm or what 🤔
godofwar0678 not sarcasm I'm guessing. A tube screamer with the drive all the way down and the tone turned up tightens up the sound.
@@littledude565 it depends on your amp and guitar that you're using, for me. I got that scrape sound from my Electra 1973 MPC model with ernie ball strings. And on a line 6 spider iv so. It just depends on the gear and what options of tones you have for your guitar/amps
Play tighter
love this!
now we have Guitar Playthrough
Drum Playthrough
where is Bass Playthrough?
Said no one ever
Jirawat Kuhawichachang TWFU, nice
The intro is the only part I like. I’ll play the song, and when it gets past the intro, I’ll start it over.

Entrapment........ Sarin ...

Hikari
nice palm mute techniques
Tuning?
Diego Garita Drop B 432 notation
Any idea what pedals they’re using
If I remember from when I saw them live last, they just went straight into the Orange amps with no FX, maybe a Tube Screamer to boost gain a bit.
Fuck yeah
sounds like as blood runs black in dying days.
Cara esse instrumental é gozante
tuning?
drop b 432hz
