I would like to try my hand at making my first Spring bulb lasagne so thank you for this video as it seems straightforward.
I just have one question, as I don’t do anything by half (I like to be different)...
The pot I will be using sits at the front of my house and is fine to leave out over the winter as it won’t crack in cold weather conditions but it is way too heavy to move from the shed in the back while full.
So can I plant a temporary but spectacular autumn display of grown flowers on top of these spring bulbs (please don’t say pansies, violas or cyclamen) then remove them as they get scraggly and replace with a temporary winter extravaganza until my crocuses appear in Spring?
I’d like seasonal displays to cheer me up then, as those blooms fade, I want to transfer the faded plants into my main front garden which is bare because I just got rid of most of the existing plants which I disliked looking at (and some were very invasive) for the past 10 yrs.
If I can do this, what do I need to consider?
    Thank you in advance!

Tisha O-J Hello Tisha - a bulb lasagne is usually only an annual display because lots of bulbs are crammed into one pot - so we suggest that you put a spaced out selection of bulbs so they can recover and bulk up year after year and you can then plant your spectacular Autumn plants around and on top. If you did want to stack your big pot full of bulbs you could put winter interest plants on top of them but you would have to move those before the bulbs come through That’s why we suggest a half way house - All the best 🌸

John Horsey Horticulture - thank you SO much for getting back to me. Just what I wanted to do.
I know it’s not the norm but just wanted a pretty and seasonal display on top of the bulb lasagne and would definitely move the winter display before the spring bulbs pushed through.
When the spring bulbs are spent for 2021, I wanted to then transplant them also into my garden for spring 2022 and start afresh with new displays next summer/autumn/winter.
Thank you so much. Fingers x’d that it works!
