    Man that’s a sad ending to that machine . I love watching you cut with your bell(s)! I bought a TF-120 track a couple years ago, what a machine! Would enjoy talking to you sometime! Thx Dusty

    My first cutter was a bell track machine , slower than the rubber tire machine but way more stable , kind of a trade off . But worked well on steeper ground.

      Yes they each have the advantage depending on timber/terrain
      I’m moving to pine clear cut job this week and definitely going to cut it with the rubber tire machine

    I flipped my Bell over and shorted out the positive terminal as well but no fire, luckily. I strapped it in after that.

      You got lucky for sure! Glad it didn’t end like mine did.

      @GB Logging l did almost burn it another time,though. I hooked up a second battery for cold starts on the other side of the floor boards. I had the battery the wrong way and when the drive motor hose flexed it would touch the positive terminal, l was unaware of this until it rubbed through. It lit up but l managed to get it shut off and grabbed the fire extinguisher and got it out in seconds, singed some hair and melted the air filter but that was the extent of the damage, other than my pride,lol.

    Them little thangs are famous for flipping over. They were handy in tight spots and for first thinning on planted pines

    Been there done that.... had one just like it burn to the ground. I didn't see it myself, the guy that was operating it and the skidder driver were working on it and it supposedly just burst into flames🤔🤔🤔 noone will probably ever know the truth.

    • @GBLogging
      @GBLogging  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the only time I have seen them just burst into flames while working on them, is when I was welding on it.
      But yeah it’s never a good feeling to see your machines go up in smoke!

    I was scared you were going to say you were stuck in it while it was on fire. Did you ever get pinned in one?

    • @GBLogging
      @GBLogging  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t even want to think about what would have happened if I would have gotten pinned in that machine. And thankfully no I have never been pinned in a bell, most of the time when I flipped it I just stayed in the cab and let my brother come help me open the door because they are so heavy when they are laying on the side.
      But when I saw smoke I didn’t wait around and somehow got the door open!

      Hi, I have a Bell ULTRA T. Laid it over a few times 2. Sometimes U can get out the door. Sometimes U can go out threw the front, if your window is out the front bars piviot out. But it really be scarey if 1 burnt.
