Honestly, when I read about villains and other characters like this, I'm thinking, "Why is this entity even bothering to interact with 3rd-dimensional creatures? Heck, with the levels of power Mordru displays regularly, the entire multiverse, its history, and all its incarnations would be the equivalent of a single stray thought to him. So what the Hell is he doing in comics? What does he hope to achieve or gain through such a plane of reality that he couldn't achieve through his own power?!?

Great video i had No idea mordru was that op like it's crazy to even think about. Aslo are you going to make a video ranking the most powerful beings in DC. Because that be awesome
What is Leviathan Space?? He literally said, "All the combined powers of Hell, Lucifer Included couldn't damage his magic enhanced body" are you typing about Merlin holding Existence in his hands and the White Overvoid behind him??
I’ve watched this video a couple of times and one thing Infind confusing is that you put Mordu above characters who can absorb his power? Also if the Presence could create eclipso an aspect of him and said aspect has the ability to not weaken but nullify Hecate doesn’t that make the creator of such a power above her? Also I’m skeptical with all this Hecate is the most powerful god; because every so often DC attempts to bring some god of magic and top them off. Last time it was Pralaya and her sea of Brahma? So how does she measure against Hecate? And if Magic is “scraps” of creation then where does Perpetua stand? If she’s from the overvoid is she above magic? Both DC and Marvel have a major problem with Divine vs Cosmic they need to sort out like where do new gods fall in power rankings say against regular gods like Zeus. Is Orion stronger than Ares or Thor? What’s the difference on their powers? Cause new gods don’t use “magic” but old gods do. These aren’t even questions for you anymore just rambling
Eclipso ones killed his creator so it doesn't really mean that the Presence is more powerfull then Hecate. The biggest problem with what god is more powerfull is that it is in the hands of the writer. Same with how powerfull or weak Superman is, gods just continue to come to be and be even better then the other ones. Power ranking characters in a medium that always change and morphs like comics never really works. Hecate is the most powerfull god untill she isn't. Superman is the most powerfull superhero untill he isn't. It can be frustrating that the powerlevels fluctuate like this but that is fiction for you. Always changing because nothing is set in stone and authors always think they have a good ideé they want to do. Doesn't help either when dc or marvel buys new comic studios and trying to fit their universe into the main one. Confusion always follows. Even if something contradicts, it is still true. Headaces inbound. As far as trying to puzzle together how the dc pantheon would look like then good luck. Pralaya is said to be the imbodiment of the void the existed before creation and will even after creation. So in terms she can be destroyed but not the thing she is, which is nothing (confused yet? ;-).) I suppose that is what happens when creating gods. Eventually one is going to come to a stage where logic disappears because a god would not need to follow it no more (nor an author if it says so.)
I've returned to this video after learning a lot more about The Presence,The source and etc. I no longer believe Mordru and all these other characters are above the presence. Now we have a lot more knowledge with the Infinite Frontier and rebirth storylines. Like how is upsidedown man above the presence when he draws his power from the source which is either a creation of the presence or an aspect of him 😂
@@brandoncruse8532 You’re not learning if you’re not reading the comics, which is pretty evident from what you just said about the Source and Upside Down Man. Regular Upside Down Man didn’t draw from the Source. Only at his most powerful did he draw from the Source. Two completely different things. As to whether the Source is an aspect of the Presence or not, I say not but that’s a whole other debate. And no, the out of context Death Metal scan that people keep using does not prove the Source and the Presence are one.

Subscribed your videos are very informative about DC's cosmology. Watched this Mordru video and I will be binging others DC ones. I knew Mordru was strong but I did not know the full extent of his powers. With all magic originating from the Shadowlands it got me thinking in contrast anti-magic does not seem to have a singular place of origin within cosmology; it could be from either the Shadowland, the Presence's domain or be a byproduct of the Overvoid: the Shade, Captain Atom plus Superboy Prime or versions of magic resistant Supermen get their gifts of anti-magic from different sources. Anyway, am I right in saying besides Michael's sword the most powerful magical weapon that the Presence has ever made is currently wielded by Blue Devil namely Lucifer's trident which can knock out Spectre level beings?
Thanks for another fantastic video! Btw if memory is correct seen a Dormmamu vs Mordru debate on comicvines several years ago based on seeing this video does Dormmamu stand a chance?

Pralaya and Empty Hand I can explain but Perpetua is part of an ongoing storyline and doesn't make a ton of sense to me right now. From what I am aware of at the moment I would say Mordru would probably beat all of them at the same time pretty casually though.
@@WebCamParrot Ah, yeah that's true about Perpetua. If other people are interested I think an Empty Hand video would be cool. The only information I can find on him is vague at best. It's also insane how strong Mordru is. I didn't even know who he was until this video.

I'm sure in vertigo the presence is king but in DC especially with this shit here its just bad all most all writers agree the presence is the most powerful in DC
There is no such thing as "Vertigo" Presence and if there was he would be far far weaker than his full incarnation lol. There is no difference between DC publishing something and Veritgo publishing something. I actually haven't read a single comic where The Presence was portrayed as being "the most powerful in DC". He is strictly portrayed as a limited being even in Lucifer 2000 where we literally see that The Presence and his grand creation is a tiny insignificant speck next to the Overvoid. The Presence and Lucifer even have a conversation where The Presence straight up tells him that their are things out there beyond him, that he was shaped by external forces. This whole "The Presence is the strongest" is an external fan created concept and is not something you will find in the comics.
I think there's not really a definitive answer to this question. Even if someone found a character that is undeniably the strongest in all of these decades of DC comics, I am pretty sure that sooner or later some writter will mess up the scalling again either by not knowing enough about this alegedly supreme OP, or purpousefully because his favorite character has to be the supreme being (or he just want to wank the protagonist of the specific comic he's writting to earn reputation with the fans)..
@@holyzenith2229 Nah, it's the Overmonitor. It's always going to be the Overmonitor, because it's a metaphor. When you have the embodiment of fundamental things, not in the way they're sometimes written, but in the way an author like Neil Gaiman will often write them, as metaphorical and unending existences, they're never really going to be topped by something like a feat. The Overmonitor is, more or less, a metaphor for the readers.
@@firetarrasque4667 It's not a matter of feats. If some writter just writes a history in which the Overmonitor is slapped by other character, he can. It probably would be dumb, but it would be as "canon" as any other thing officially written (until someone retcons, at least). And people overestimate things like 4th wall metaphors. In the end, those things are as fictional as any other element the writters can write the way they want.

The DC version of God is not accurate at all. He is suppose to be the most powerful being in DC yet they say some abstract beings are more powerful than him. If the presence is not omnipotent then he is not GOD. Can you do Immortal hulk? I like how you break down characters. This is why I subscribed bro.
The Presence isn't meant to be the most powerful being in DC though, or y'know, he would be. He's just the god of his Creation, and there just happen to be things comparable to and stronger than him. He isn't God over all of the DC universe, just a certain part of it.
@@osarumenerhunmwunsee No, though even if he was, it would still make sense for a character to be stronger than him. Great video i had No idea mordru was that op like it's crazy to even think about. Aslo are you going to make a video ranking the most powerful beings in DC. Because that be awesome
No matter how powerful a bad guy is, they will always be defeated because of their own tittle, and that is: being a bad guy. Amazing video ^^

Abdoulhay Ceesay You know this shit is crazy when even the Presence isn’t the strongest person in the video.
@@Dionisio97 lol😅 im little shocked about that, i used to think that the presence is the creator of all dc omniverse and beyond.
Mohamed Shidane Yeah me too. I used to think that too, but apparently not lol
What is Leviathan Space?? He literally said, "All the combined powers of Hell, Lucifer Included couldn't damage his magic enhanced body" are you typing about Merlin holding Existence in his hands and the White Overvoid behind him??
Also him ripping a hole in the Comic isn't anything new.
props for you low key throwing in the Furi soundtrack into the video. you're a parrot of refined taste
Idk why but i can't get enough of thie video specifically
And I thought Superman and Monarch were disgustingly powerful...
Sweqt Milkman Man (the strongest Superman) is still probably more powerful than him

Make how powerful is infinite man and
How powerful is plastic man
How powerful is Klarion the witch boy
How powerful is dr fate
How powerful is Dr destiny

With prep time, batman got this.
Ofcourse hes BAT MAN

Btw if memory is correct seen a Dormmamu vs Mordru debate on comicvines several years ago based on seeing this video does Dormmamu stand a chance?

This video was awesome !!!
Well, of course he's powerful: 3:10 left page, second panel he invokes Yog-Sothoth - the ultimate "f*** you" to power scaling.
I need to know how he stacks up to Pralaya, Perpetua, and Empty Hand.
I would love to learn more about those 3 in general
Pralaya and Empty Hand I can explain but Perpetua is part of an ongoing storyline and doesn't make a ton of sense to me right now. From what I am aware of at the moment I would say Mordru would probably beat all of them at the same time pretty casually though.
@@WebCamParrot Ah, yeah that's true about Perpetua. If other people are interested I think an Empty Hand video would be cool. The only information I can find on him is vague at best. It's also insane how strong Mordru is. I didn't even know who he was until this video.
@@WebCamParrot ok this is getting out of hand now so owe is the most powerful being in DC is because I don't by it the presence is the most powerful I can say for a doubt the this character has loss before the presence never really loss a fight the great darkness is never really on the presence level all of these writer don't know what the fuck there writing there getting loss in there own lour bad writing
Nice video bro.
Make a video on Orion the new god please.
Mordru is something like Melchizedek from the Bible who both have no beginning nor ending.

@@Miguel11190 oh i thought he meant the darkseid nemisis
So who truly is the most powerful? I feel like writers just want their characters to one up God just because cause they have a God complex.
@@firetarrasque4667 the overmonitor is not the strongest, he is viewed as fiction by final heaven, characters in the filth, and then is over infinitely transcended by the leviathan

Superboy Prime
Doctor Fate
Wonder Woman
Martian Manhunter
Any Flash
Normie as hell, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on these, ranked in order by my curiosity from top going down.
@@leowulf5280 So he's not the christian judeo christian God if that's the case.
@@osarumenerhunmwunsee No, though even if he was, it would still make sense for a character to be stronger than him. The christian god is seen as all powerful in the religion, but even something like any of 5D imps are capable of every feat the christian god ever performs in the bible and more. The Presence is just a god that exists alongside beyond godly beings.
