  • As part of our 3D basics series we have a look at the inside loop. We go through what they should look like, how to handle wind, how to practice and moving them in and out.

    Nice video as always Richard! The telemetry data is a really cool addition and I definitely need to start practicing loops again.

    the explanation of adding collective first is really helpful, thank you! Same for stall turns, it helped my flying!

    These videos are incredibly helpful. I’m hoping the next one you make will be on traveling
    rolls. Thanks for what you do!

      I've got the next 2 videos planned, so I'll do rolls straight after those. Thanks for the suggestion!

      @@rchelicopter I believe I rely on speed to enter the loop far more than the use of pitch instead of both so, I'll be focusing more on this aspect, thanks to your vids.

      @@HeliShed There are a few videos that talk about speed being the right way. The problem is you'll be limited in height and won't have a consistent speed all the way round.

      @@rchelicopter That's exactly what I've found essentially. I think the norm should be increased pitch over speed. Looking forward to experimenting!

    Hi Richard, I am so happy that have watched your stall turn video before I have seen your loop video and that I have experienced the positive effect of more positive collective by myself. Your loops are soo beautul and round - if against the wind or with tailwind. I am still having problems doing big loops with tailwind and I feel not so comfortable like when I am flying against the wind. We have terrible strong winds and I guess I cannot expect too much. It's probably really a matter of practice, practice, practice! Thank you for all your great videos!! They helped me soo much!

      Tailwind is very hard on the heli. It's pulling up against the wind, so needs a lot of power.

      @@rchelicopter Thank you very much for confirming it! I will take my time.

    hello :)

  • @43SunSon

    my problem of the loop is, it drifts. Especially, I feel it's very scary when the loop starts to drift to me.

    • @rchelicopter
      @rchelicopter  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah, so you've got to do that think where you lean the top of mainshaft left or right towards the direction you want it to drift back. Doesn't matter if you're at the top of the loop or the bottom, just lean the headblock end in that direction.
