Yeah, the music kicking in when you activate the scramjet and settling down when you reach 9 mach in stratosphere is just so well done. Absolutely perfect connection between audio and visuals. Love it
The landing music is also a masterpiece. Absolutely freaking amazing. Better than almost everything you hear in movies nowadays.

I ignored the tasks and flew to like 200,000 feet and barely hit Mach 10.01 , it was awesome
After I hit Mach 10.01 the aircraft got overstressed and I failed the mission but it was still awesome

You know you could’ve done it at 275,000 feet without any issues. Would’ve had a better chance of seeing space. You should definitely do a night version from the west to east coast. The heat shields really glow at night!!

Great flight Trev! Five letters is a waypoint, three letters is a radio location, and four letters is an airport. In the US the airport codes start with a K, like KMCO or KORL.

You should 100% try this in freemode, and go all the way up to 275 000 feet and hit mach 10. It's amazing, you can actually see stars and galaxies in outer space once you get that high

I just played through this activity in vr with my HOTAS. I have hand tracking setup, and pulling my hand off the throttle to reach out and use my actual hand to "flip" the scream jets was surreal as hell. It helps with landing too because you can just lean your head out of the plane 😂

How serious Trev is taking it make this a much better experience, many of the pro pilots are taking this as a more of a lighthearted joyride so they ain't as serious and meticulous as Trev does.
This was awesome. I still have a hard time landing inside the cockpit but overall it’s the best experience I’ve had from this game.
Saw Maverick on the weekend and it's easily one of the best movies of 2022 absolutely amazing loved it! Love this series!!
I loved Top Gun Maverick watched it twice in IMAX The darkstar scene was brilliant and beautiful and I wasn't expecting the film to start like that subverted my expectations in the best way possible 💯💪 , I've been addicted to watching fighter jet aviation videos and then I saw this recommend and wow you done a great job I'll be checking out your other top gun maverick videos ✈️🛩️
This has to be the most incredible flight that you could ever do in the game. It’s absolutely awesome how you reach Mach 9 and are above the stratosphere as you travel at around 6000 knots! Wish I could do that!
This thing has every angle of visibility blocked. It's like flying with a blindfold. Enjoy the scenery.
Well the way it is built, its fir pure speed, not combat or commercial. You can see just what you need to not crash and die.
It's an experimental aircraft, they usually use cameras as their eyes.
Thia reminded me of a couple of missions from Ace Combat 3 on ps1, like 20 years ago. There were a coupke of missions, one where you had to pilot a mix between space shuttle and combat jet to take down some satelites and another one where you had to land it from the space to the ground, you had to keep some parameters in order to reenter the atmosphere safe. Obviously technical limitations from the ps1 are wayy uncomparable with what we have today but back then it felt so awesome.

Loved this DLC. I'm new to MSFS on Xbox, absolutely loving it. BTW exactly what you were worried about happened to me on my first try, knocked out everything, flew Mach 10, then broke up on re-entry, had to start all over lol. Now if only they'd fix the flying mechanics in the open world
This episode was sooo awesome! Visually stunning! I love how Trev knows so much about things, whether it’s cars or planes or whatever…I always feel like I’ve learned something from his episodes.

I'm completely new to the world of Flight Sims (picked up FS for the Xbox last week) and just came across this video somehow while searching TH-cam for beginner guides. I'm so glad I did.

I have to say watching you Trev flying the Darkstar in one of my favourite movies of all time is just amazing 👏 and Tom Cruise would be so pleased and proud and if you haven't seen the movie yet you have to go and watch it. I loved it so much, has to be one of my top movies out there in the filming industry.

I have NEVER been interested in piloting aircraft or playing Flight Simulator but this really, really got my interest. I wish I had something better than a laptop to try this out on - graphics are insane. Very cool video!
I was up at 270,000 feet over Oregon and I could see all of Washington and Oregon from up there. Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier below. This DLC was spectacular.
BISNE and ZIMTI are fix locations. Basically virtual waypoints that are used to determine flight paths, especially around airports and stuff where you need people to fly out via a path that's not straight - you set up a couple GPS points and tell people what points to fly when, kinda like how when you're taxiing they just tell you "taxi via Mike, then Bravo 4, then Charlie, hold short of Runway one-seven". Same thing, just in the air.
I can see why these pilots love their job cause that was spectacular just to experience it even if it is in a simulator.

Great fun challenge. I nailed it first time, and then messed up loads on 2nd and 3rd. Shows you that just the smallest of error makes a big difference. The music on approach sends tingles up my neck. Superb DLC.

Actually the Darkstar is the SR-72 Blackbird. And it is rumored to go Mach 4 with the SR-71 going about Mach 3. They did Mach 10 for the movie.

This is the most satisfing plane ever. Transitioning to mach 1, reaching mach 3 then lighting scramjets and watching the endless climb to mach 9. Going full speed across the stars

Martin, any suggestions on accessories (i.e. yoke, etc.) for someone just starting out in the sim world. I can't imagine trying to do this on a keyboard/360 controller. Thanks and appreciate any insight you can provide. Aloha, John

Luv this Laddy, it takes one to know one, the moon will always be there except in Oblivion. However, my initial climb from Mach 3.5 to Mach 7 was a much more hyped experience initially.

Top left, cyan bar on your heading indicator. To maintain your GPS course you must keep that center portion of the cyan bar aligned with the top and bottom (arrow head and tail) portions.
