This has a nice urban look, and the convenience of having lights with you all the time, that you don't have for fuss around with taking off you bike, is great. I wish that bikes all had such nice integration
100% game changer, and a big European seller. The Chinese LED backpack is also a great commuter asset. Built in direction signals would be nice with a radio frequency device on the handlebars.
This looks cool, I’d get one for commuting/riding around the city, but as someone else said, it could do with more vents front to rear instead of across the helmet.
Never liked helmets with lights for different reasons but this one, or this style of doing it its growing un me. It's smart and most of all needed! I live by the Como Lake in Italy and the commute to and from work on this road has the same risks as a black diamond downhill track! Perhaps is time to get a dedicated commuting helmet! I'll try and see if any of those bargains are left! Thanks as usual for spreading and sharing the knowledge, love your channel!
I know what you mean about wanting to sleep on the concrete... As for helmet, the accelerometer braking and the ambient light sensors I've used on Chinese brand lights were never very good. I'd prefer just not having them and have a simple on/off button. But otherwise these lights look good and reasonably bright.
Very impressive, but it does not seem like it has MIPS, therefore no buy... You can buy a much cheaper Uvex helmet with MIPS and then add a bright enough light.
Big FU lights on a helmet are always a good idea. Not so sure about the indicator light but this is a helmet I would use as it looks hella visible from a distance.
Helmets need to fit like gloves for a good fit,so you must try them on,so I would not buy without this.Giro fits for me ,Bell mostly not. I like the ultraviolet & mint colours of the Livall. 360 Led's are the way to go.
- Being safe is having a decent bicycle lane where to ride. - Being safe is slowing cars i urban areas, so ppl walking and biking don't need getting killed for going to work. Being safe has nothing to do with a fancy helmet.
Your first two points are correct, however I wouldn't say a helmet has "nothing to do with safety." You can have a safe helmet AND ride in a safe bike lane.
@@ChinaCycling A helmet will not protect you if any car crashes into you, and it will not protect you from cars hitting you...it’s only designed to protect from minor accidents below 20km/h and social ridicule from car drivers.
short answer... no. your responsibility on the road is not passive. Use your lights, eyes, hands, movements, etc at ALL times and don't trust that anyone else is looking out for you on the road but you. This helmet could be A tool that some might choose to use but if they are relying on it to do jack shit then their trust is misplaced. Ride hard, take care of yourselves out there, and press on.
I'm sure there are lots and lots of folks this video would interest but I refuse to wear a helmet for one reason and one reason only. They direct the sweat straight down the front of my face and into my eyes. I sweat a lot and over the coarse of a ride I am so busy wiping my eyes that it becomes extremely dangerous. I wear cycling caps and I hardly ever have an issue. I can't wear a cap under a helmet either.
I wear a helmet for one reason and one reason only...I value my life and want to be around for my Family. also just this morning a friend of mine was hit from behind and you guessed it, his helmet saved him from severe head injuries. to each their own I guess. Good luck out there!
@@jessemartinez6120 At this point and time in my life I am not afraid of dying but more afraid of being old and shitting myself in some nursing home and only having the ability to playing Checkers or Bingo. You get my age and you start to think a lot about retirement and old age and it doesn't look so good, especially when you've live an active life like I have. Being killed while riding my bike doesn't bother me and I believe would be a good way to go out. Besides, you have to admit it's also a fact that old guys don't look good wearing race gear. I'm going to be 65 in a couple of months and I just want to ride comfortably.
I checked their campaign page and this new helmet looks much more ventilated. I think it can deal with the riders' sweating problem. Also, they said they'll have more giveaway for backers to get the free magic scarf. You can wear it on your forehead to avoid the sweat straight down to your eyes. I won one from it. Everything looks good so far. Hope to get them in June.
The great thing about a helmet is that it's just 100% your decision. Your choice to use one or not doesn't affect anyone else. So to each their own. :)
This has a nice urban look, and the convenience of having lights with you all the time, that you don't have for fuss around with taking off you bike, is great.

Yeah, at first I thought it was goofy, but then I thought about it and it made a lot of sense.

Did you take another tumbler off the bike again?
This is probably the first spoken TH-cam video I’ve watched with music in the background but I had no problem understanding you.
Good to know! I don't like dead silence between the talking.
Here in the states if the helmet doesn't have MIPS it will be tough to sell. Costco has MIPS with a rear LED for $30
Yes. The lack of MIPS is the only reason why I haven't tried a smart helmet from China.
Damn! $30? That's a helluva deal!
Hello, be careful, I just bought a case on Livall's page and they sent me a damaged helmet and they don't want to answer me.
It is a pity that this brand does not guarantee its products

Yeah, gotta stay safe on commutes for sure!
Thanks for another well done video! Love your channel, your great reviews, and the recent bike show coverage too! Take care.
Thanks for watching!
Mine, it sent an SOS that I never fall from bike and neither notify me from app if I fall or not.
hello, dear, please tell me how can i contact you. and would you like to test our wheels ?

Yeah, for sure. As long as there's a backup manual option, it's fine IMHO.
Thank you man. From Brazil/Curitiba.
So did they remove the speakers and call functionality?
it's gonna be an Indiegogo plus, when the campaign reaches 1 million dollars
How is the sizing? I have a size medium (54 - 60 cm) Bontrager helmet. The Lival has a Medium size as 54-58 cm.
Underrated channel! Love your content!
May i know what size are you wearing and what is your circumference of your for head?
Totally agree with the necessity of lights. But this helmet needs more vents.
Only serves riding at night or very early morning. The lights are the biggest USP.
Very impressive, but it does not seem like it has MIPS, therefore no buy... You can buy a much cheaper Uvex helmet with MIPS and then add a bright enough light.
Looks like a decent commuter helmet for a good price. Would prefer better colour options. And do wonder on the long term life of the batteries.
Yeah. I have no way to comment on long-term battery life.
Good review! Nice helmet design,my concerne are the breathability. Not a huge fan of the turn signal,i would prefer a life longer battery.
i bought this helmet,i can say that it’s a good choice but need a more vents though. but overall it’s a nice comfortable helmet.
Good to see you like it. I guess it will be perfect in fall / winter.
Big FU lights on a helmet are always a good idea. Not so sure about the indicator light but this is a helmet I would use as it looks hella visible from a distance.
I don't like too much function, cause I already have the seat light, being cool and well-ventilated is enough. Anyway, innovation always a good start.
What do you think about Sunrimoon helmets company? Is if safe? They are not cheap as other helmets from china. Any thought?
I saw them at the Shanghai bike show - looked good!

Great review again! You are on a roll!

No polymer production is ever coming back to America. At least not in your lifetime.

Just bought 1. Thanks for the link.....
Hope you enjoy it!
how’s the sizing?
Two sizes. This is the L/XL and fits me the same as most my other western helmets.
are they trying to give people a seizure with that ad
pretty excited
I'm heaeing Pokmon Go sound effects
I love this helmet.
great info.why do you have red marks on your face and why is your upper lip so long.little cheeky but just curious.
The red marks are a birthmark. Not exactly ideal for a TH-camr, but - you gotta play the cards life deals you. ;)
Never noticed it before, thought you had another stack.
I thought you crashed again.
The road can see you, but you can't see the road.
乔老师去b站发发视频啊
很明显面向的受众市场不一样
如果两个都搞,都搞的不太好。我还是光把一个搞好算了。确实我很喜欢国内和B站,但是时间有限。

the examples at 6:00 is all anyone needs to see. the product proves the point.
Horrible poorly designed signal lights compared to the Lumos Ultra lol.
Bought with your recommendation .. garbage helmet all functions cease after 3 months ..
Too bad no MIPS
The top of the helmet looks like a tortoise with legs pulled inside otherwise very functional.
I mean, a tortoise is very protective...so...why not? :D
The mask won't age well.

That isn't the case with all helmets. A well designed helmet directs the sweat away.
