How to make a creamy Brazilian shrimp stew - Moqueca

  • This is a traditional and perfect shrimp stew recipe for this Fall time. Easy and Quick. A delicious classic recipe from Northeast of Brazil that brings "quick-flavor" for a different meal: the coconut milk. Every time you'll eat it, taste just like summer in your mouth.
    Here you will learn simple ways to cook good food.
    Shrimp Stew
    1- 2 tbsp Palm Oil
    1 small onion, cut in rings
    1 red bell pepper cut in strings
    1 medium tomato, diced and seeded
    1 medium tomato, sliced
    ¼ cup chopped green onions
    ¼ cup chopped cilantro, plus more for garnish
    1 tsp garlic paste, or 2 garlic cloves
    1 tsp minced ginger
    ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
    1 can coconut milk
    1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined.
    ½ tsp salt, divided or to taste

      Brazilian food is heavily influenced by west African, especially Nigerian food and culture, my dad is Nigerian and Brazilian and the cooking styles are very similar
