Seagraves in my opinion will always be #1 but was mastered by other manufacturers like pierce , the Ferrara Ultra which to me looks like a Seagraves and a few other manufacturers and they charge less for a good truck , that's what hurts Seagraves , otherwise the overwhelming majority of departments would roll with Seagraves or have a bunch of them in their fleet. Bolognie. Each districts' building stock, traffic, call variety, etc is different. Each department buys what it can afford but also what it requires for the calls it answers. No one manufacturer has all the best products. There are plenty of districts out there who can afford Seagrave but do not buy from them because their trucks aren't their first choice. A case pinpoint would be Phoenix. That's a well funded department. I don't think they have one piece of Seagrave. Mostly Pierce but AFL, E-One, LTI are included.
@@PriceTheCourier FDNY rear-mount ladders & current rescues are Ferrara's & many engines are KME's. Tillers, TLs & Squads are all Seagraves, I believe.
@@therealpikachu30000 So what? It isn't the most popular make for a number of reasons. Sure, they make high quality, expensive as hell stuff but they barely kept up with technological advances. Christ, their Baker Aerialscopes haven't changed at all. There are many better TLs available these days. Most which can actually be used as a ladder.
When they get spinning it creates an interesting effect that looks like the beams are crossing one another. They're really popular here in Southern MD. We also had a kill switch on the front bumper so you could pull and pack the bumper lines without someone not paying attention and getting clubbed.
Seagrave makes some beautiful rigs😍
This might have been the fast track unit that the city of Camden NJ bought.
That rig has some lighting for sure.
Wow! In spite of all the information regarding foam/cancer this rig nonetheless has it.
Foam has its benefits, of course. A lot of departments now have F500 which is a lot safer and can flow through a foam pump.
Love the mars lights.
