This vehicle will be outstanding for our Satellite Communications Vehicles! We will need to install a Dome Satellite Communications antennas on the roof.
This is one of the best light packages I’ve seen, great job. The only thing I’d opt for is the Whelen Freedom Rota Beam light bar instead of this one. Everything else is spot on. Great job. How much was the package?????
Approximately $5,000 in just the lighting alone (probably a little more, I'm being conservative). Overall with labor, the Just Box It kit, and accessories, this probably cost upwards of $15,000. Not cheap, but its effective and will last a long time.
"Knox Boxes" are a system of safes that house master keys to local buildings so Fire Departments can gain access to a building without forced entry. So inside their safe box on the vehicle is the department key, they use that to open the building's safe to get the building's master key, and then they can enter a building safely.
No, as long as you have a controller that offers dual-tone (which the Whelen Carbide does offer, with an additional module), you just need two speakers. For some reason, the fire chief of this department wanted separate siren amplifiers, so thats why they installed four speakers (each controller can operate two 100 watt speakers).
Lucky7Firefighter I know your question is old but with the carbide system all the lights are set to steady burn or slave mode and individually wired to the brain of the system. That's why the carbide system extends the capability of all the lights attached to it
Your cameraman is just terrible! Jesus man go for a wider angle, you're not doing an endoscopy! What good is a siren setup that takes two hands to operate??
Can you do a night or afternoon sunset video of the takedown & puddle, looks really nice
excellent as everything whelen

They must've liked the V series a lot
Looks like the driver's side Ion is off sync? Or is that just the video? Nice looking build overall.

Awesome vid! How does Blueprint compare to Carbide, and will you have any videos with SoundOff Signal Blueprint in them?
$$$$

Does the micron turn signal and brake light integration function all the time or only when one of the 3 light stages is activated?
Not sure what this vehicle is programed to do, but that can be done with the whelen softwere.
nice vid! What is the "knock box" (? if I'm spelling it correctly) in the trunk (the thing that looks like a small safe)?

Nice
so does that mean you need 4 siren speakers to get dual dual tones?

How do you get the ion duo in the grill on alternate phases

What kind of radios are those?
Harris Brand radios and they are horrible
Those sirens were terrible.

Thanks for the feedback.
