I swear, this is one of the best mixes i've ever heard in my entire life. Yes it's very low quality, but the guitars and the bass can be heard at a VERY EQUAL level without the one being too loud from the other and even though the drums can't be heard that much, their percussional fundamentals are still audible which is just fine and the vocals are also fine. Hands down, one of the best black metal mixes ever, it's definitely up there with Burzum's Filosofem

When I was 16 I was massively into Nu-Metal and I remember the first time I heard Darkthrone all I could think was 'What the fuck is this shit? It's just noise and shouting'. Now, being a little older and wiser, I can honestly say that this is some of the greatest music I've ever heard. The sound quality may be a bit raw, but it does nothing to detract from the passion and intensity behind the music. Absolutely fucking stunning. Anyone who hasn't heard this is seriously missing out.

While Punk Rock was a rebellion against society through music, Black Metal is a rebellion against the musical norms themselves. Clean sung vocals, crisp studio quality sounds, and the same tired old lyrics about love found/lost were all things that Black Metal was rebelling against. To many music lovers (myself included) this was a breath of fresh air for the music industry, even if it's underground. If you can't appreciate this style of music, that's fine. J'ai 14 ans je vie en France et j'ai un groupe de Black Metal qui s'appelle Nocturnaline je viens de sortir une démo Les Ailes Du Mal. Je peux grandement comprendre ton sentiment de solitude moi aussi j'aimerais avoir des amis fan de Black Metal ( enfaite je n'ai pas d'amis) moi j'avais 12 ans quand j'ai commencé à écouter du Black Metal à ce moment là je me suis rendu compte que le monde et la vie était stupide alors j'ai commencé à m'éloigner de mes seules ami que j'avais je n'avais pas beaucoup d'ami à l'époque et quand j'ai commencé à mettre des bottes noires, des t shirt, satyricon, mayhem, burzum, darkthrone, emperor,mütiilation, beherit, Bathory... des vestes en cuir et des ceintures cartouchière,tout le monde c'est éloigné de moi je n'avais plus d'amis j'ai commencé à sombré dans une sorte de dépression ma mère et mon père inquiet ont décidé de me scolarisé à domicile, j'étais mieux loin de tout ces connards dehors, mais après avoir passé trois ans enfermé à la maison j'avoue que le sentiment de solitude commence parfois à ce faire ressentir mais je lutte contre ce sentiment de solitude stripide car comme le dirai meyhna'ch de mütiilation

For the longest time I had Californian Hunger in my surf rock collection just unable to process how beautiful and emotional it was, before I found out it was cover of this song. I have to say I still prefer the cover version but this is awesome as well
