Actually, I went to her concert yesterday and I heard her songs firsthand.
As you know, the sound quality on TH-cam is not that good, but the songs on TH-cam videos are still good to listen to.
However, there is a significant difference between listening from TH-cam and listening in person.
If you hear it for yourself, you will probably feel a great shock and thrill.

I might pass out if I saw her on live stage doing this song because the TH-cam version is already phenomenal and I get chills hardcore watching it. If I would be lucky enough to one day visit Korea and see her live I probably should prepare myself lol. Take care.

So Hyang is an absolute angel. You should check out her and others singing Day Day. It will get you up and moving. Another singer from South Korea is Park Ki Young. So Hyang is great. Park Ki Young is as good or even better if that is possible.
The arrangement is a masterpiece (she does her own), the vocals are insane (as usual). Michael Bolton called her a virtuoso after this performance. So good to see you back reacting to Sohyang. Thank you.
She is working with composers that does the arrangements. She might contribute with ideas but the credit for this arrangement (and Arirang Alone) goes to Hwang Seong-je 황성제 among others with all the covers. This doesn't make her less of a performer or an artist. She just didn't make these arrangements.
@@deadphone9639 This particular arrangement had so many twists that I initially thought it was a bit too much. But it has grown on me.

@@deadphone9639 I also thought her most viewed version of You Raise Me Up took too many liberties.
I've seen another recording where she sings it the way Rolf Løvland wrote it, but the sound was not crisp, and she seemed a bit uninspired.
The arrangement was way cool. Amazing how high she can belt in a mixed voice. Most people that try that it sounds pinched. Hers never does and its always perfect pitch. To pull off live what she did, well........
Michael Bolton saw this performance and called it "virtuoso performance" and invited her to his concert in Korea for a duet. and they sung "prayer" & "lean on me"
PS. This stage was won the best TV show award at the Banff International Media Festival.

This show is normally Called ,”Begin Again”, and was held for 4-6 weeks over the summer in 2 maybe three European Countries, last year with Pandemic they decided, the have it at home for the people of Korea! SoHyang was on 7 of 13 episodes and normally would not if out of country as it would be to taxing and she would be away from Fsmily too long but one of the stars got sick and they asked her! I have never seen her so excited, happy and relaxed! Everyone of these Performers are at least as well know as she is , a few way more famous, in K-POP! Yet in many performance you see the respect and Awe they have for her!
Make sure on the Misty Performance you watch it till the end ! One of the Performer who is considered one of the best male singer( Jung Seung Hwan,), talks about her Performance, he is in Awe of her talent and attention to detail! She has so much fun singing the duet at the bottom with Henry. He is a fellow Canadian , born and raised, from the Toronto area and is a Musical genius ( virtuoso on violin can play any stringed instrument , drums , piano and loop station as well as sing, write and arrange. Speaks Chinese, Korean and of coarse English, possible some French

Michael Bolton called So Hyang a vocal "virtuoso" after this performance and invited her to join him for the rest of his South Korean tour. I believe she could only do one performance with him due to prior bookings. Pretty high praise, eh? 👌

"AILEE" pronounced "A Lee" was one of the beautiful ladies they showed a couple times, she was the one at the end of her she put her right hand up to her right ear just as she went off-screen. She is a huge KPOP singer and she sang "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU", probably the best cover you will ever hear!!!

Just saw Michael Bolton leaving NYC a few days ago. I wanted to say Hello but it's probably annoying and i was too nervous to even try.
This all took place at the JFK airport checkpoint.
So Hyang's best friend is "PARK KI-YOUNG"!! A year older than So Hyang. For 20 years she has been a contemporary pop and some rock singer!! Well, she thought she would try Classical!! So she sang "NELLA FANTASIA"!! Sarah Brightman made it famous. Let's put it this way, now we have Park Ki-young too!!!
