    I placed my order in July and expected delivery in November. I'm in my late 50s but still wanted a hot hatch. This fitted the bill perfectly and looking forward to its arrival.

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      40% apparently, I remember saying it but not adding it into the review because it doesn’t completely paint a true picture. I think it’s Ford trying to blind some people with science. Reality is it doesn’t help it feel sharper or faster from point A to B against one. That being said they’ve done a great job Damo and I enjoyed the drive. I definitely wouldn’t but again they’ve done a good job for sure. It’s hard to make these kind of cars keep there higher (as in at a higher COG) weight in check. It reminds me of pitching a Stelvio Quadrifoglio against a Gulia it’s night and day, none the less both deliver what they needed to well for the target markets ❤️🙌✅

    I love them, the fact it's the 5th best selling car in the UK speaks volumes for what the buying public think. As a Ford fan I want to see the brand do well in sales as the more cars they sell the more money they have to bring out hotter models. With the Puma WRC coming in 2022 I expect the Puma RS in 2024/5 💚

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews

      Amen and 100% I’m glad they made it tbh and if I needed more space and love the platform it would be a great way to go. It’s a very fun chassis too which I love and it rotates like a mad thing. Yep the Puma WRC and RS will be epic! Thanks for watching Jamie ✅❤️🙌

    Sorry but this isn't a Puma, it went from a cute sporty 2 door coupe to a family crossover a mom with 3 kids drives. To me this just looks like another focus which is the epitome of "nothing special"

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have to say I honestly felt it was a very strange thing for Ford to do and when I think Puma I only really think of the 90’s/00’s one, it’s so strange they went mini SUV like and decided to call it a Puma, I personally hate brands using old names for cars when they look nothing like the originals.
      I actually had a 1.7 original Puma myself and loved it 🙌❤️ long time ago now, would loved to have still had it 😢

      @@PeakPerformanceReviews You'd be surprised how many good non-rotten examples you can still find under 5K. Have a browse some time. Great cars they were, remember being a kid in the 90s and having to squeeze in the back of one whenever my dad took me somewhere. Not great family cars but perfect otherwise.

      100% agree, I think if I was in the market for a modern classic/classic I’d definitely consider one for sure I loved mine, went so well with that 1.7 and the chassis was sublime 🫶❤️ yeah made for a good sports car but not practical etc at all but I loved it

    How do you feel about comfort as compared to the St Line X?… looking for a Puma but needs to be comfortable for long journeys. I’ve heard other reviews say the ST is a bit too firm for longer drives…

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews

      I’d say what are you used to? For me it’s not too hard but it is definitely on the firmer side. It’s as hard as I’d recommend for a long drive but not too firm personally.

      I’ve literally just driven past a black one haha, it looked great. Weirdly I found myself looking carefully at the suspension and its movement because it made me think of this comment/question. Honestly is fairly firm but nothing bad. I think for 100-200 mile journeys all in one go it would be a probably but say maybe huge 300-400 mile trips in one go it would feel too firm but I couldn’t see it being a problem, your very welcome thank you for watching, where are you in the world fella?

    Alex your comments are correct regarding the St Puma.The Mountune stage 1 upgrade is worthwhile and is just the right amount as it give you added confidence in most gears.
    Personally think 260 bhp may be too lively but there should be less stress with the lower upgrade?

    • @PeakPerformanceReviews
      @PeakPerformanceReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s because I’m so used to 300-400bhp cars these days.

      @@ianguest7341 ah mega, you’ll love it will be so good with a Mountune upgrade no doubt. Hopefully one day I’ll get a go in one like that.
      To be honest it’s only because I’m use to testing every hot hatch out there and the norm seems to be circa 300-400bhp now.
      That being said with the Pumas weight, 260bhp will feel like a hot hatch with around 300bhp so it’ll be very quick 🙌❤️😎
