Have the 200 mk8 fiesta ST and Puma Mhev 125 depending on what the use is. Both fantastic cars. Fitted the Ford performance edition coilovers (kw coilovers) onto the fiesta and have to say it’s the best hot hatch I’ve ever owned. The Puma is a brilliant car and can’t wait to see the new Puma ST edition that’s in the pipeline
Just ordered a puma st in mean green brand new, beautiful looking cars an practical too, think it would be nicer if you could choose green stitching an effect in the mean green colour on interior,so whatever colour st you have you can choose interior stitching colour, would look great with green stitching on seats, steering wheel an areas inside car 😁👍 great review cheers 🏴👍
@@DamoDrives have just checked the new 2022 puma st it not have recaro seats it has new ford performance seats, they actually look better, they have red stitching an two white stripes running down the middle of seats, look bigger an chunkier 😁👍
@@johnwhite2143 Apparently the new seats are made by Recaro, but has the Ford Performance branding… Just ordered a Grey Matter myself… Enjoy when it arrives!
Not for us living in the States, which is frustrating......apparently Ford has given up competing in parts of the market and instead sells to my parent's parents and Mustang fans for those who still want a bit of fun......so shortsighted. (really should take a look at what BMW has done with the Mini before deciding there is no market for this car here). There is a reason most people I know don't even look at Ford cars as possible purchases unless you want a pickup truck.
It’s so confusing why Ford do not offer these types of cars and I don’t know the market but it certainly used to be hot hatches we’re not a thing either. So there is demand but very little competition ?
Great review. Looking yo take delivery of my Puma ST Line x Vignale, auto, in Agate Black, this month, I hope. Ordered June 2021!! Think it looks really smart in the Agate Black and with chrome trim, will just finish it off!! Hurry up Ford and deliver it to me!😂🖤
“Hello Mr Andrews , this is your Ford dealership . We have your car ready to pickup” …. “Car what car I don’t remember ordering 1” 😂 that is a very very long wait. Glad you enjoyed the video
If you want the same sort of looks but not concerned about the performance then ST Line X (not sure if you have watched the review of that) but the LSD and the power is brilliant
@@DamoDrives I keep seeing them, and I think I am being subliminal seeing them 🤣 as if I need to buy one. Every time one is there haha it must be a sign.
Disappointing that Ford don't do the red stitching on the Puma ST like they do in Fiesta. The interior needs a bit of a lift in my opinion. They're made it too monochrome. They do the red in the ST line and it looks better.
Oh it does have traction issues. Even on a dry (but slightly dusty) road it will spin up the front wheels in second gear and in a straight line. For a 1.5 litre engine, it produces quite a bit of torque.
Some bits are nice but it’s the central section which is not quite up to the rest of the cabin. Seats are lovely. What spec did you test drive and what other options are you considering ?
A lowered version of a raised fiesta? Ford took the shrooms! I can see from your steering that it is way more boaty than a mk8 fiesta ST. This car just doesn’t make much sense
@@DamoDrives yes I am, mk8 revo stage 2. Don’t get me wrong, the puma has its place but I think as a performance variant it misses the mark. It’s not as tight as a Focus 4, nowhere near as tight as a fiesta and to me, that’s what an ST is. Lift off oversteer and all that fun!
I like a modified Ford , recently reviewed a slightly mad focus ST that mad my ears bleed lol and a modified fiesta st performance edition, check them out if you have not seen them
More speed in the corners equals collisions with other road users, yeahhh I’m gonna be a killjoy cars driven like they have been stolen should l be on the roads

Having driven the fiesta performance edition with power upgrades , exhaust that was brilliant. The Puma ST edition will be amazing
Another very good review of the car, following on from your earlier Puma ST Line review .
Thank you
Thanks Dave , I am Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Ordered mine yesterday. I was lucky, they have one in the showroom. August 2nd I'll take it for the first spin.
Congratulations , not sure where you got the car but there are certainly delays with orders from the factory due to the silicon shortage
@@DamoDrives It is more than I expected, it's just an amazing car, coming from a 208GTI.

I Love Ford Puma
Love the looks and some good performance
@@DamoDrives Yes
Great review love the puma I have a fiesta st bit don't know if I would go for the puma st or st line x for more comfort and better steering lock

@@DamoDrives yes I've watched your st line review did you find the st line x steering lock better?
The ST is just more focussed , stiffer faster and what I can remember quicker steering which does mean it’s more direct
@@DamoDrives I think the puma st steering is a little lighter but easier to live with
What’s the leg room like for tall people
It’s pretty good all round but you must remember it’s not really a large car

That would have been a nice option but maybe they feel Puma customers don’t want it 😢
I went from a ST line X with red stitching to a full fat Puma ST and I do miss the red stitching.
Has anyone driven this in the wet? Extra weight & FWD…. Be great to know if there’s traction issues

Wow this could feature in Sweeny 2 !!!
Not sure if that’s a compliment to the filming , the actual video or just the car lol
Reagan would approve lol how thirsty is it
Cannot remember the exact numbers but 35 so not to bad . Can be a lot higher if you are careful with your right foot
white leather needed for this.
Be a nice contrast although always nervous about light colours (especially with a dog 😳)

it is the year 2022 who drives manual cars?
A hot hatch with a manual box is the perfect combination for fun driving, might not be as quick but just my preference
@@DamoDrives it is more engaging to drive manually but does Puma only come with manual or is there an automatic as an option?
