7 years on and this is still good as a reference while learning medical illustration, thanks for the breakdown.

Wow. The process makes you realise just how much time, skill and dedication goes into these. Keep doing the behind the scenes, they're great!

Brainbook thanks, I always enjoyed seeing how things were made, it gives an appreciation on a different level. the time lapse can be deceptive; there’s about 14 hrs painting time behind this one. The work is so varied that each piece of art comes with its own adventure through the challenges. I’m trying to record more of these to catch interesting bits to share with you all!

Amazing work! Excellent portrayal of the disease and what people suffer. Understanding what’s happening for both patient and family to better understand COPD and treatments that help to control it.

Thank you. Sometimes it can be helpful to ‘see’ the illness, especially less ‘overt’ things, to understand and empathise or best care for people. Not just for patients, but family, medics, and others too. :-)

Very beautiful illustration! Especially the blisters, they look like they will pop in any moment. They give me a bit of anxiety, which is really good for public health promotion haha.

Helloo, great video! I like how indepth and transparent you are about your process, it's really helpful to know what you're thinking throughout. I'm not sure if you posted this some where else, but I was wondering what your educational/experiencial background is to become a medical illustrator. I'm considering this career myself and you're videos so far are a really helpful insight.
    Thanks, keep it up!

Great Channel! Any chance you'll renew posting more contact? Regarding this one, any chance of going more in depth regarding the actual painting steps especially for the translucent bubbles, etc.? Custom brushes?

Secret formula = time + effort + passion for the work! They both have lovely art. I'm a fan of the original Gray's Anatomy pen and ink work too!

I am a terrific art creator who is only capable of drawing stick man :D But I ordered my first wacom tablet. We'll see what I can do in 2-3 years.

Do you recommend a website for reference images. Thinking there must be something more than Google.

Really cool illustration, thanks for sharing the process!
Assuming you're a medical student and have experience in 3D environmental design and a solid understanding of how illustration works, is it easy to find a job in this field to pay up the loans?😅
