This looks so similar to Disney's proprietary "go away" green or "no see em" green. It's a color of green that makes the object painted it incredibly easy to ignore. So I love that you did your fence in a color that makes it vanish.
TH-cam Fence Expert here, yeah I watched your first video by the way. Phenomenal. Then I happened to do a privacy fence for someone in Arlington, TX [shameless plug. DM me] a few weeks later. We did not use your easy to do system. We bought stuff from Home Depot. 60 feet cost us (August 2020) about $3500 (not included my labor cost) and took 3 men 10 hours. That's also taking out a stubborn chainlink fence, so maybe 4 hours without breaks (the heat humanity factor was 101°). We did not stain it, but it was pressure treated. But it DOES need to be stained. Most likely that will be done the hard wat too. But I WILL NOT wear a space suit to do it! Nice job on your project. Cool channel. --- Sincerely, Handyman. ---
i have no intention of fencing or paingting my fence, but i love your channel and i enjoy the sense of humour and the information. keep up the good work!
Try a f*cking tent spike. People really amaze me. Like in the world of Milrite Construction you have Raw Steel, Painted or Powdered coated steel, and Galvanized steel (Aluminum Zinc Coating). If its in the dirt or high moisture area obviously the aluminum coated steal is your best choice. Thats the reason they make Galvanized metal. It tolerates moisture. Think of a grain bin. Anyway love to see some people argue this one. Like he said I know nothing.
I watched the first video putting the fence up without digging & only watched this cuz these 2 are hilarious 😂😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣Can’t believe I just watched a video on painting a fence 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂Keep it up guys I don’t give a 💩 bout fence painting But you 2 are that funny it was worth watching New subscriber from the UK 🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧
I’ve got to wash and restain my fence and I’m dreading it. We have that same 120% humidity here in Eastern Oklahoma too and I’m not thin as a rail fence. Thanks for posting this up and the hilarious content.
I'm still a little on the fence about the colour Haxman. Good episode again - enjoyed the project - especially sitting in Air Conditioning here watching you fine folks getting er done! LOL!
This was a great video dude. Mark has that Mark Walberg disposition but actually has a sense of humour and can take a joke. The chemistry between you guys is great, the video was fun and informative and I loved the when you guys were taking pop shots at the trolls. Thanks for the hard work and great content.
You MUST do more videos together!!! You guys are super entertaining, while I’m learning a lot from you too! You should even do a channel together! Cheers! 🍻🍻🍻
HAXMAN, you've got the charisma of a movie star from the 50s. Every video is a pleasure. Not sure I like the color of that fence now that it's stained though. It's not bad per se, but I feel like there is a lot of better staining options.
@@HAXMAN It almost has a military vibe to it. Like something they'd wear in the marines. I look forward to you showing off the fence (still standing) in the years to come to all the skeptics.
Two things I wish you have said (or you did say but I missed it). How often do you have to "re-do" the coating, and does it come in other colors (clear would be nice). Thank you Haxman, you rock!! Opps, one more thing. Can you do the fence so that it does not have slits between the slats.......Gosh that almost sounds dirty.
Can you put deck sealer through the kobalt sprayer? Like you can stain? Is there something you should run through the sprayer after words to rinse it out like water or something special?
I originally purchased Behr stain for my fence, luckily never opened the bucket. After watching this, I returned it to Home Depot and am ordering Wood Defender 😂
What if you have a newer fence on one side and an older fence o. The other? Do you have to pressure wash the older fence before staining? Will the stains match in the end?

Great job answering questions, but I have one that wasn’t mentioned. Over time fences get dirty. Can these stained fences be power washed and retain the stain, or would you run the risk of removing the stain? Love the content!
I'm not positive but I think you could pressure wash at an appropriate distance. Soft wash I guess. This is a penetrating stain so it's deep in the wood not sitting on top. I would check with SWI or Wood Defender for a definitive answer. Thanks!
Psssshhhhttt.... We use Titanium 1/4" wall square posts (6x6), vibrate them in the ground with a special Bobcat attachment to a depth of four feet, fill the core with polymer modified fibered concrete, stick weld titanium crossbars (stacked six high with our patented "rainbow weld artists dime-stacks'), then we take ironwood planks and with a spark-plug gap spacer, precision set each runner plank to .060 gap and secure them with spot welded titanium grippers providing just enough spacing to provide an additional .23 percent strength against wind. We then take a magnet-held ROOMBA with a sandpaper attachment... let her go... go get some lunch. When we get back, the panels are superflat - a technical term meaning very, very flat. Then we soak it all in MINWAX Wood Hardener, which basically petrifies the ironwood.
Wow! Fantastic. Looks amazing. Very disappointed at the missed opportunity to spray paint across the Tyvek suit! Haha. Another fantastic video! Really like that product.
Wood Defender recommends you low pressure clean it with a water bleach mix. No need to pressure wash unless you are removing a previous water based stain.

HAHA I just did the same. Re-watched both because they are so enjoyable. Wish there were more. Also enjoying Mark's videos after discovering him here.

I think the concern was about the potential leaching of zinc and other heavy metals from galvanized steel into the surrounding soil over time.
Oh I’m literally about to do this so it’s perfect that you posted this

How do you correct a fencing, where the fence is level to the ground in some portions?
We are building a fence at my buddy's house, we're about half way done, I wonder if that system would work here in Colorado?

How much fence does 5 gallons cover? I cannot find coverage info on the Wood Defender website.
Coverage is 100 -150 square feet per gallon.
so...no concrete on gate or corner posts either?? work for chain link too?
i am sure the people next door love having their garden sprayed with your stuff with it going over the top of the fence!
That's my garden. We installed the fence reverse on purpose.
by far the best quote in the whole video "so you're saying is the engineers you think they know what there doing, Mark I'm hopeful" hahahaha.
😂
Well the Health & Safety police certainly can't complain about a lack of PPE! I wasn't sure if you were about to spray a fence or vacuum up a 👻

Your not joking about the Georgia heat either 😆. Some days I just went to move up north just so I don't have to feel it here.

What color is stain on swi
Will this actually spray through a Harbor freight Nozzle
Yes
My fence is ~3 yrs old. Do I need to do anything to prep it?
If it’s clean, no. If it’s dirty just soft wash it with water or water and bleach mix and let it dry for a couple days.
