Best post workout supplements: 20-25gr whey+25-50gr dextrose or glucose+700mg salt+150mg magnesium+500mg vitamin C (assuming you were serious about your workout/practice). Eat a healthy meal (p+c+f) 1-1,5 hour later.
Hope you've been putting in the work all summer. Emphasize you know how to dribble with your head up, your shot is fundamentally sound, you're coachable, you're in good condition and on and on. It's hard to know everything every coach is looking for, but if you tick the boxes I mentioned you should do well. - Joe @ TeamEGT
I need some advice. I've been playing basketball for about 2 hours everyday since last November and for the last month or two I've been having pain in my right knee when I straighten my leg, go up stairs, or do any type of lunge/squat. Any tips on what to do to help this? I wear a compression thingy on it and wear an ankle brace on my right leg because of an ankle sprain a few months ago, thanks.
i am not a doctor anything, but i had torn my acl/mcl before, but it sounds like maybe you pulled a muscle or something. Try to take it easy and maybe it could be that you are putting more pressure on your right leg. Are you a lefty or a righty? i am starting to feel the same pain you are but on my right foot, it could be just small issue where you are over working one leg or hopefully not, a torn muscle.
I tend to static stretch, and then get some recovery work and meditation done. That really puts my mind off the game, whether I lost or not.

Fantastic. I have used the pre-game and post-game routines provided for all my varsity teams.
Great to hear. Hope the players got value out of them.

If I train twice a day
Should I do warm up and cooldown exercises both times?
How to make the basketball team? Tryouts are next week

Is icing your knees after games is good?
I've never been a fan of it. But I'd recommend you ask a trainer.
- Joe @ TeamEGT
No not really IF you want to recover Quick then ice limits the blood flow
Many trainers recommend it. Is it good
Give a shot and see how your body responds.
