    This video doesn't do a justice as to how loud Cobras are. They're truly deafening.

      I hated being near them. Needlessly loud metal scraps glued together.

    Nothing will Ever come close to the sound of the UH-1 Huey and the AH-1W Super Cobra.

    Best example of "if it ain't broke don't fix it". That and the UH-1 Huey. Just add more power. I remember seeing early models at the factory in Ft Worth lined up on the ramp near the end of the VN War 50 years ago. What a sound IRL.

    Oh, the mighty Cobra AH-1W. As a former maintainer and an ordnanceman, I love the sound of the two rotors clapping in the distance. The new AH-1Z doesn't have that same effect but the extra stations for weapons stores makes it even deadlier. A full loadout of 20MM SAPHEI for the M-197 20MM cannon, 4 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, 4 TOW-2 missiles, 2 - LAU-61 19 shot HE rocket pods, and two AIM-9x sidewinders coming at you from off a ship a few miles off the coast. I definitely don't want to be on the receiving end of that fire power. Semper Fi

      I hate how loud vipers are, I felt bad for viper technicians, even with headset protection.

      Don't forget the AH 1Z is the only helicopter that are capable to carry 2 AIM 9X (which is 10 times, twice the range and 90* off bored system that are able to lock on at land as well as the ground enemy targets, which is better than the Stinger missile) as well as the most deadliest missile 2 AGM 65 Maverick missile (this missile was designed to destroy an building, enemy runway and even a group of tank/SAM and AAA sites making it twice the range of AGM 114L and can do more damage with just one missile is enough to disintegrate any tanks).

      Lol, it does the same to the bad guys shooting at it and whatever they are protecting also. The first Bell AH-1 Cobra flew on 7 September 1965, the original design is 56 years old this year (2021) and is still going strong with the AH-1W SuperCobra and the AH-1Z Viper. The AH-1Z Cobra's top speed is 255 mph which makes it one of the fastest rotary-wing aircraft in the world. The Boeing AH-64 Apache has a top speed of 227 mph. The Cobra's speed, agility, firepower and narrow fuselage cross section certainly makes it a hard target for small arms and light weapons fire. Stealth technology is the only deterrent for guided missles. The only other helicopter still in service that's older is the Bell (Huey) UH-1 Iroquois. It first flew on 20 October 1956 which makes it 65 years old this year (2021) also.

    the cheyenne was a better aircraft than that thing, you'd have several cheyennes airborne and in formation in the time it takes to start one of those...

    This copter needs nother 2 more main rotors that way it would be balanced too much chopping noise u can tell it's just needed

  • @Jack29151

    If you were on an airbase full of them things and the russians decided to visit you'd be screwed....it takes 10 minutes to get one of those airborne and only about 2 minutes to strafe the field with a pair of MIG 21s... lol

    • @michaelwayne2995
      @michaelwayne2995 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You sound like someone who doesn't know the first thing about airplanes or Helicopters and the Mig-21 is unlikely to ever get near any American airbase 😅

    • @Jack29151
      @Jack29151 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@michaelwayne2995 I didn't say American base anywhere in my post, now did I, there are nations that own migs that are enemies of russia...and if you can get a 50 year old air started aircraft from cold and dark to fully airborne in under 2 minutes, why are you posting on youtube?
