great video, getting it off and replacing the lock is easy, its the damn hatch that's pain in the arse. follow his instructions. made it pretty simple after a hour of swearing.

I need to do it now at VW Golf 6, but I believe it's almost the same.

Used the wrong torx screw, stripped the bolts out, be very sure to use the m8, the threads are very sensitive
How did you get them out once they were stripped?
@@Tom-qo7ry Tap in a bigger torx and take it real slow. Worst case weld or drill out
Hey, can u link the M8 XZN / Triple square spline bit, i cant find anywhere to buy it, also how do u unscrew it when the torxes are rusty?
I ALSO found out at an industrial hdwr store, it is called a triple square, size M8 and since it's a tip for hand driver, it's only $3😊

It's a phillips head (cross head) screwdriver

No need for a new key? My remote doesn’t unlock the trunk anymore so I have to insert the key
