Played Doncaster little thearter Saturday night ,finishing with this track absolutely amazing night. Wished me a safe journey home,my God I live 9 miles away he lives in New York city playing for his fans in Doncaster. So much respect for this artist many thanks, safe journey home.
Awe, I've heard this a million times & it never gets old. What an amazing singer/songwriter you are, Dean! I've been blessed to have seen you live & meet you on a number of occasions. What a lovely human being you are, with the lovliest of families..thank you 🖤
Hey Sharon, Glad you've enjoyed the music. Thanks for listening. Heading out on tour this year. Email: dean@deanfriedman.com for tour announcements and more. Cheers! Dean
I've just subscribed. A truly great song. Hard to believe Dean was only 23 when this video was made. Denise has such a great voice. The 70's was such a great decade for beautiful songs like this!!
Great to see this again Dean. You may not remember but you played the Cafe Royale in London in Spring 1988 to a very small select group of people who won tickets on Heart Radio. I won two tickets and came along with my Wife. You were asking for requests and I asked for Lucky Stars. You said it’s a duet. I suggested we, the audience did Denise parts….you laughed then agreed….and it was fun! Never forgot that night!
Those were fun gigs, at the Cafe Royale. Heading back to London, Saturday May 13th - Questors Theatre (Ealing). Tickets on sale next week www.DeanFriedman.com Email: dean@deanfriedman.com to get gig alerts and recording updates. Thanks for listening and enjoy the music!
Hey Shelley, Glad you've enjoyed the music. Thanks for listening. Heading out on tour this year. Email: dean@deanfriedman.com for tour announcements and more. Cheers! Dean

I would love to sing this on karaoke with a girl I really fancy, in my mind it's perfect and we both have a good time, embrace and become lovers. But in reality my voice is that bad that I'm just making a bad noise and nobody cares.
Holy canoli, this is good stuff! And that vocal harmony in the coda just knocks it out of the park! 👏🏻 At first I wasn’t certain that Ms. Marsa was a suitable choice for the female vocal, but it became increasingly apparent as the song proceeded that she indeed was. This should’ve been your biggest hit single in the U.S. Adding to my playlist of favorite individual music tracks.
Songs then had something to say Along with the music That's why they remain in our Minds I suppose. Remember the pina colada song. The guy who wrote this was a very Intelligent person in other spheres Of his life. This one just came to him And he thought why not. Why not indeed.
This is a clever song and a song of two parts. First, we have Dean's part where he does the usual cheeky chansonnier BS in the merry style of, say, Barry Manilow or Elton John. Then we get the contrasting intense reality of the female (Denise?) part, where she sings with the real feelings of a real woman. For sure, that's exactly how women speak and it's rare to hear. Turns out that Dean is playing at T/Wells in May, which is near me, so I might well go along to that.
Hey Peter, Glad you've enjoyed the music. Thanks for listening. Heading out on tour this year. Email: dean@deanfriedman.com for tour announcements and more. Cheers! Dean
Hey Dean! There are moments in this song that make me think of "Say No To This", from Hamilton (which came out decades later, of course). I think it's mostly Denise's voice, but the duet vibe as a whole too.
You just missed me. I was in Dublin and Belfast this past April. Email dean@deanfriedman.com to receive future tour announcements, gig alerts and recording updates. See you next time!
Slebs like to rave about "triple threats" and the like, but I think they all underestimate the talent of great songwriters. Not to take anything away from this great performance, just don't forget there is a maestro behind it.
Hey Dean, I saw you 'somewhere' in London, Engerland a few years ago with Sam accompanying you. On that night I kindly purchased Well Well Said The Rocking Chair, AGAIN, just so you could sign it for me. Which you kindly did. My name was and remains, Dave. I'm sure you remember? However, technology has taken an awkward twist since then and I no longer own a CD player. Therefore I'd really like for you to send me a signed MP3 of WWSTRC for my collection, please? I mean, it's not like the postage is going to cost you anything, is it? Thanking you in advance, yours sincerely, Dave Clark... NO, not THAT one! xx
I don't know why the poor saxophone player was left in the dark, but it was probably for the best to stay out of the way. That couple at the piano spent most of the time arguing!
loved it then LOVE it now
Yes
