Say something the government doesn't like? Participate in a trucker convoy in Ottawa for example? In addition to them shutting down your banking, the license plate now becomes your scarlet letter.
If this thing runs on a battery, it will eventually die. Then what? Buy a whole new one on top of the subscription fees? What a money sink and pointless electronic waste. The benefits do not seem to outweigh the stated cons.
you forgot the most essential reason, they have to drill a hole to the car for installation which resides just behind the plate. this was the deal breaker for me, im already compromising the high price but drilling a hole the size of a quarter a new car is not ideal at all.
Even so a hole that’ll never ever see the light of day (since apparently it’ll be covered up by the plate harness). But alas nothing you said is true. It simply uses the same holes already drilled for conventional metal plates, and taps the same power as a conventional license plate light would use.
Well that's just ridiculous. The hole is not that big, and has a plug that covers it and it goes behind the plate and is sealed with silicone so I'm not sure what you're so worried about. You know, fun fact, the factory put four holes in the same general vicinity.

Well one thing I don't like about those license plate she's basically they can be easily hacked basically the numbers and letters should be changed on those plates as easy as basically defacing them. So if a hacker tries to break in to obtain the license plate number off that digital license plate that number can be faced in a hurry. And that's exactly what I'm afraid of. And it's not just everybody who sees them like that it's also a law enforcement because with a hard license plate you cannot deface those because you do deface those basically in some areas it's a felony to do that. Basically I'm talking about is you could actually break the law defacing license plates. Because they're really not supposed to be defaced at all.
You're definitely being overly paranoid. He's yours going to you and only you. No one else can download anything. It all has to link up and it is a controlled situation through the Department of Motor Vehicles as well. It's a two-step process. There's heavy security involved.

Any traffic violation, like speeding can be tracked and citations can automatically be issued by a computer. If one is driving to a join a protest, the government can track that.
Well the thing is we’re gonna go to digital license plate in the next two years if you like it or not what’s gonna happen you don’t replace it you don’t get to drive your car no more because your old license plate is gonna be worthless it’s either you’re going to go to jail you’re going to get a suspended drivers license for not updating your tag but there’s also key downfalls to those tags they’ll be able to track anywhere you are in the whole 9 yards but this is going to happen if you like it or not so there’s gonna be a lot of people going to jail for driving on a tag that doesn’t exist anymore once digital tags come out you will be doing it you know the states all enforces the law enforcement will enforce it and like I said there’s nothing you were going to be able to do about it

Where plates are assigned to driver, vehicle would then automatically display appropriate plate based on user's credentials via smart car ignition system (e.g. #NFC ignition system scans driver's license to display appropriate driver-assigned plate info).
Well being that I’ve had one for almost 2 years I am now getting ready to going to my 3rd. plate. It certainly has its flaws. Hopefully soon to figure it out
when it breaks down do you have to buy a new one each time?
What happens if it stops working and you are on the road with no visible tag number?
@@crazysquirrel9425 that is not possible…. It works like a kindle. It doesn’t necessarily need power to operate once the screen has made it’s changed at all always stay like that I don’t know how to explain it exactly but I’ll tell you I’ve had one sitting on my garage wall for two years with no power and still works/still on and visible with no problems.
@@belaidout How many electronic devices are that trustworthy?
Why have one sitting in your garage if they are THAT great of a thing?
I do not want one period.
In fact I don't want my vehicle marked with anything at all.
@@crazysquirrel9425 Well considering nothing in life is perfect things do tend to break and tend to malfunction. the beauty of it is they honor that and they send you a new one for free. Does Apple do that? nope you have to pay a deductible does android users have that same luxury? no nothing in life is guaranteed. I’m sure right now you’re probably talking to me on a smart phone which is obviously trackable too by the government and everybody else so what’s the difference between having a digital plate or a cell phone in your pocket? I have two of these on both of my vehicles and if I had the luxury of putting one on my motorcycle I would but unfortunately they don’t offer that. but maybe I’m totally miss reading you altogether maybe you’re the type of person that likes to use flip phones and changes your Sim card probably weekly. Probably also assuming the government has some weird conspiracy over everything but what do I know 🤦🏻♂️ i’m just a guy commenting on a license plate that is cool 😎
i just got one. love it.
Cool! What car did you put it on?
if a thief steals your car with this plate, theyll take it off asap. duh. who in their right mind would WANT to spend that much on their license plate?
$500 plate with a subscription plan, how is someone supposed to save money if we are going to electrify and add connectivity to more devices. More people are tired and hating subscriptions whether its monthly or yearly. Again, how is one supposed to save money if more things require a subscription.
So basically this guy is like..> i dOn"T lIkE iT! sO yOu sHouLdN't EiThER!
Bruh...your keyboard game is fire!
wanna find a way to change the plate numbers lmao as i’m driving
James Bond comes to mind....
Very simple. Make your own instead of buying theirs.
Can't wait until someone steals a car with an e-plate and simply puts an old metal plate over it.
Sour grapes video, shit is cool let people enjoy things
@@marvinjgerald6007 AH HA! Just install a bypass switch to prevent power from going to the tag!
@@crazysquirrel9425 AHAH it has an internal battery, HAHAHAHA try again...lol, if you dont believe me hold the button and rest it and it will show how much power it has
really? the video showed that they use the same holes already in place for your license plate. like my car already has holes for it so i dont see the big deal.
it was forced on to me when I bought a new car…
I’m not paying monthly fees.
I’m tossing it.
But also like with any other technology, if people won’t buy it, it will never develop into amazing thing.
Good point . But also like cannon in war..if no one buy cannon in those day. we would never have guns like to day.
@@vnguyen9896 No freedom either
Tagging your vehicle is very bad.
It also violates people's rights.
@@crazysquirrel9425 you are paying extra for it so how does it violate peoples rights??lol, go away you really sound uneducated.
@@budh420 I don't want to pay ANYTHING to exercise my rights.
Since when are my rights up for sale?
Any time you pay to exercise a right, it is no longer a right but a government granted privilege.
I ordered one... this video is wrong
TOTALLY 🙈
Yet another thing for Big Brother to watch over your shoulder. Also take into mind if somebody like Mr Mango Man decides to be president-for-life and decides your votes are a little too blue for his liking
Really dude?🤣 put the pipe down
Any traffic violation, like speeding can be tracked and citations can automatically be issued by a computer. If one is driving to a join a protest, the government can track that.
youtu.be/F1QysKE9y
It's been about 30 days since I installed my reviver plate and it looks awesome.
Well the thing is we’re gonna go to digital license plate in the next two years if you like it or not what’s gonna happen you don’t replace it you don’t get to drive your car no more because your old license plate is gonna be worthless it’s either you’re going to go to jail you’re going to get a suspended drivers license for not updating your tag but there’s also key downfalls to those tags they’ll be able to track anywhere you are in the whole 9 yards but this is going to happen if you like it or not so there’s gonna be a lot of people going to jail for driving on a tag that doesn’t exist anymore once digital tags come out you will be doing it you know the states all enforces the law enforcement will enforce it and like I said there’s nothing you were going to be able to do about it
You should have paid attention in fourth grade.
Their legal as of today 20$ subscription per month
1 reason to Order Now ! 1: amber alerts
Amber alerts are useless.
And my question is: why not adding a very useful feature to this..GPS LOCATOR to this idea
What if it malfunctions and you get pulled over? Dumb.
Police pull over license plate no working sir, let me turn the jammer off sorry my bad
I’ll advertise for Chuck Norris when car is parked
Helpful
It's a gimmick
Cheaper than lowjack.
EzlNh8u ya low jack from filthy dealer ship cost me $1000 obviously not priced honorably
What is the point of this thing?

Hello, interesting material 👍 My name is Stefan, I'm from Romania and I present mini news about technology, yesterday I did an article about digital license plates from, in which states are digital license plates valid. I would like to make a video and I need footages for a few seconds, can I take some footages from you? I will write a text, from whom I took the footages.
dumest idea i’ve seen in 41 yrs of my life!
This guy is just a hater and like half his points have holes in them
Nope not for me . Too expensive. Not worth it at all. And talking about tracking u where ever u are. It like my wife asking me where I been all day.and like all tech there eventually break down. Who know for how long u have a car. And what the Warranty most people have there cars for more then 7 years
I paid $200
No! Thank You
Give it time and the price will come down. Working around its patents, when competitors hit the market the sky high price will drop like a boulder.
Hopefully soon, this is an awesome gadget, especially for expensive cars with sound systems.
People gonna be stealing those plates if they cost that much
Seems like a waste of money
Nope. $17 bucks a month rn
Meh...fuck this.....I'll stick with good old fashioned plates. They work fine and have for 100 years. This is just crap. Plus you need a cell plan? Get bent.
Fuck all that.
top 5 lamest reasons i have ever heard.
Nice try fed boi
