I'm still crying about this. I was in the Marines at Camp Lejeune, when Pee-Wee's Playhouse came out (I'm an old man). Some corporal and I commandeered the TV room every Saturday morning, when the show was on - never missed it. Then, the movies were all great. In his professional life, he brought good, wholesome, family entertainment to people. I wouldn't have any problem letting kids watch any of his programs. He was a very funny man, and I am so saddened by this. RIP, Pee-Wee! We will miss you.
I was working 70+ hours a week in a restaurant. Saturdays opened an hour or so later. Pee Wee was on TV as all of us woke up in the mornings. We'd get to work laughing so hard about what we saw before coming into work. It was fun to make our own "Word of the Day" but do it with a different cursing word every week. This news hurts. Kinda like Sam Kinison also hurts. I always never wanted or believed this man's contributions would ever end.
😭💔 I got to meet him two times in my life 10 yrs apart. I am not famous, I am just a regular person. However he remembered me. The second time we met, he gave me a big hug and asked if I was still making art. It blew my mind and warmed my heart. He really was just the sweetest person ever. He will be missed.

I met him at a signing and he stopped talking to a fan as a child In a wheelchair came by with his mom. He said "hey you" to the kid and he lit up. The mom brought the child over, he stopped the entire signing with people waiting for hours in line for this one kid. I will never forget that. Amazing man.

I know many people seem shocked that he passed so young, but I can recall looking at pictures of him when he had starred in guest roles and wasn't looking as healthy as before. I have dealt with a loved one dying of cancer and it is an unforgiving disease that doesn't discriminate. I was so stricken by this, its like a family member has died. RIP, Paul. You are very loved and will forever be loved. Condolences to your family and friends.

There's a whole generation and their parents who are heartbroken by Paul's passing. Both my kids had great PeeWee imitations that made their mom and I laugh. My forty five year old daughter to this day still has the PeeWee giggle, it's not an imitation, it's just the way she giggles. RIP dear Paul Reubens, thank you for the fun and happiness.
I was not expecting this. I'm in the denial phase of the grieving process. I know death is a normal part of the circle of life and we all must go through it eventually however losing Paul Reubens whose Pee-Wee Herman character was a big part of my childhood makes me very sad. RIP
Child of the 80's here. Pee-wee's Playhouse was one of my favorite kid's shows. I got the Big Top Pee-wee short book from the Scholastic Book Fair in elementary school. Read it more times than I can remember. Saw the Pee-wee movies. Loved them, too. Got in trouble for doing the Pee-wee dance in the hallway at school when I was 8. Couldn't believe it when I saw him in the Buffy movie in the late 90's. He crushed his character's death scene in that movie. Over the top but hilarious at the same time. He had his flaws, as all humans do. But the good he did and smiles he brought to us all far outshines his mistakes. RIP Paul

I was saddened to hear about Pee-wee Herman’s death. Pee-wee was a big part of my early childhood. In fact, Pee-wee’s Playhouse was one of the first shows I watched. There will never be another Pee-wee.
