too me this sounds like something you would play in the background during a character of a movie or show dying and having a flash back of his life before he dies...like falling to your death but it slows down while the flashbacks take place.

I remember the first time I heard this song, the harmony of the two electric guitars and the “dance” they do together, then that riff at 2:30... It’s like a song that perfectly captures the feeling of grief and sadness that manifests itself as rage.
