VENICE, ITALY TRAVEL TIPS: HOW TO GET FROM MARCO POLO AIRPORT TO THE ISLAND OF VENICE

- If you're flying in to Venice, don't expect to walk out of Marco Polo airport and be in the middle of St. Mark's Square. Venice, the island itself, is located a few kilometers off the mainland, so you'll have to arrange transport once you've collected your bags. You can take buses, taxis, rental cars to the island's transportation hub, Piazzale Roma.
But once you exit your vehicle, you're going to be either walking or taking a water bus or water taxi to your destination. That can be tough even without luggage! We always prefer to skip these options. Watch this video to find out which mode of transport we love - and it's affordable!
LINK to my favorite water taxi company: (*The link is through my travel curation service, so I'll get a small commission from the company - this will NOT affect your rate!)

So helpful......thank you
Thank you so much. I am an ESL teacher and have two students here in Brazil who will travel to Venice in September. Your video will be very useful for them. Obrigado.
Thank u so much for this video!!
I was there two weeks ago and took the bus and a vaporetto to get to my hotel, which cost €19,50.
We discovered later that there was an Alilaguna boat from our nearest vaporetto stop directly to the airport and that only cost€15, so we took that to get back .
I’m not sure how damaging the Airbnb concept is to these tourist cities. I always go to hotels.
Hey can you send a link for booking the shared water taxi. This video was so helpful - thanks!
