@@prestonjohnson1343 it's not that they are THAT good, it's that a standard 1911 is wildly outclassed by modern firearms. Are they good guns? Yes. I love them. But a striker fired pistol with double the ammo capacity is simply better. Don't waste your money on high end 1911s that are well over 1000 dollars.
After paying $525 for my RIA 1911 M1A1 in 45 ACP….. it’s a great pistol that’s very accurate. Fast forward to my feelings about the 1911 today. I would have no issue spending $2,000 on a Colt Gold Cup after getting to know an inexpensive version with the RI. Solid pistol design that is nail driver accurate with out one malfunction after 1,000 rounds. The good name should be better.
It's really not you actually gotta know some things about the gun. Not like most polymer guns. Mr. browning Has quote saying a more simple gun is a better gun. Which most polymer guns are the simple version of the 1911.
Fun fact ria actually bought the patent rights to the m1911 A1-fs ria is owned buy the Philippines arms corps then they bought the machines that pumped out the original m1911 for WWII so it's literally the best clone out there just made from a heavier steal Surplus railroad in the Philippines soooo same size as an original down to the same machine there not even in America anymore

My personal top 5 pistols would be ... No Particular order.. 1. Shadow Systems Foundation Series XR920 Optics Ready.. 2. Sig P365X MACRO TACOPS.. 3. Sig P320 TXG or AXG.. 4. CZ75 SP01 Tactical or Shadow 2.. 5. Walther PDP 4" Full Size Optics Ready..
RIA 1911 is a series 70 so basically its dangerous if you drop it. Aka it sucks/unsafe. Series 80 is much better/safer. The recievers may be cast steel as well not sure though if so then they are crap/weak
One of the best bangs for a buck you can get right there
Recently picked up a Colt Government Model for $750 at my local shop... totally worth it. My favorite pistol in my collection so far
Full price 750? After tax? Thats a steal
You had those guns on the table pointing at me 😂 I felt threatened
calm down sissy boi
I think we can all agree this hobby becomes one of the most expensive hobbies we can have 😂
Nah, guitars got that beat all day.
@@BRLauethat I have to agree with 😂😂😂
Never built a car? 😂
Hahaha.. the more they described it, you can tell that they began to see that it isn't entry level at all😂😂😂
Somehow, people think the more you spend, the less entry-level it is.🙄
@philmcrackinnow yup I hate that.. just because u spend 1000$ don't mean shit!!
The price is entry level.
@@philmcrackinnowthey try to justify some of the prices they pay for guns that others do it for half the price 😂
Thanks for showing the 1911 some love. Too many gun guys like to knock it
They're heavy, rounds limited, and all in all less reliable than one might like to believe. I love 1911s but they'll never be my go-to if SHTF.
And with every claim that a person can easily get over comes with a cry that screams skill issue.@@cwheels01
@@cwheels01 If thats heavy to you, then hit the gym.
Thank you, Sparky, and guest Elliott, always appreciate your opinions and reviews
Yup that's my jam right there a 1911
Entry level? You mean the only 1911 you should ever buy!

The 1911. A military pistol with a 13 year service record.
13 years? Try 75 years
I like the Taurus 1911
Where’d you get the grips?
I think he said he got the gun used and they came with the gun!
Beautiful beautiful 😮
Occasionally you will find some Springfield and Ruger 1911 for under 700 on GT distributors
Ive been seeing Springfields for about $600
when i get more on my feet i want to gift my stepdad a 1911. i know he’d appreciate it a lot.

@@tgs9740 I’ve only shot about 5k rounds out of my Remington R1 enhanced. So…
Simply fantastic guns but the thumb safeties are sharp enough to cut steak. Sure wish they would redesign that.
🔥
It also has a full length guide rod... If John Browning thought the 1911 needed that, he would have put it on there. Lol

@TheRealModo man I've been thinking the same thing for years there probably some of the best out there and the cheapest
@TheRealModo agreed fully people always make fun of the rock island untill they see the grouping

It’s a good running gun. I have one

"Entry level" lol...if it chunks a 45acp..there isn't anything "entry" about it
The only real 1911 is the colt , the rest are copies
I never really got. Whats with the entry level bs. Like they all fuckin kill!! What's so damn entry level about it besides the ammo hitting the target
Y’all got all this fancy sh*t just to get smoked by a guy in a musty hoodie with a high point 😂
It’s a cheap 1911
@@ElliottDelp I’m talking mainly about your never used gear and even the cheapest 1911 is much more than a cheap high point…
Well, statistics say the guy with the hi point is much more likely to get smoked. Gang members have a life expectancy of 24
