I almost froze to death when I first arrived in Bangalore from Hampi. My Bangalore mother told us that she used to wear a cardigan when we asked if it was cold there at Xmas. It took 10 minutes to retrieve my pack from the bus luggage bay and, of course, my fleece was at the bottom. To the station sharpish packed with Tibetan monks for a reviving chai.
