We test and race here lots, if you can race effectively here, you can do it anywhere. unforgiving, fast as hell, and old school bumpy. Toss in a 30mph crosswind into turn 8 and you will soil yourself.
@@markb3961 lmao so are all Americans that's why the majority of Americans buy track cars and tune them to just go fast in the drag strip or highway race..his time is about what I get in an average lap in a stock z4 m40i (supras twin), but I don't think he's using the b58
Very nice driving for your first time on the track. It's not easy picking up additional time from 1:23, but there are a couple places: Turn #8 and #9. In my Porsche, I have the same max speed in #8 as the front straight (146mph). You can go faster in #8, especially after the apex (no real danger after that); then I'd go a bit wider on the entry to #9 to be able to get on the gas early before the apex and not worry about running off the exit.
I just drove this track in my s2k and had right about the same reaction as you. It's the scariest track I've run on the west coast, my right ass check was cramping from how long I was Holding WOT!
Nice lap times and exit speed through turn 9! No need to downshift too far at the top of turn 4. you don't need that much power heading down the hill. It's sometimes better to leave it in a higher gear through there.
Big willow is very sketchy. I was told to stay flat out is in turn 8 since I don’t have much power. But still 120mph with out aero is sketchy. Congrats on the win and the time.
Solid run day, although I would caution about Big Willow, you will never leave this track thinking you got everything out of the car. This is like many tracks but this track is special in that right when you think you have it nailed it will bite the crap out of you!
They're in different classes. Dustin is in ClubTR which forbids turbos and superchargers unless the car comes with it from the factory and Jackie is in StreetMod which is a bit more open in comparison.
Indeed ClubTR is quite an restrictive class in terms of power, so for sure we have quite a lot more power. Not to mention Dustin probably was on a cool down lap here, so might be deliberately staying off the racing line
@@TurtlesCast It's alright. We all had those moment. There was a time where I thought the Skyline GT-R was the only legendary JDM that mattered. But now, I find myself daydreaming of a K20/24-swapped EG Civic Hatchback.
Are your tires sticky enough to really stiffen that suspension and crank up the downforce? It's fast as balls but seems softer than it could be on camera.
Really shows a lot, you not knowing the track and Kyle being a local how fast you can adapt and overcome really shows drive skill….. fuck this track btw🤣
IMHO: Turn 1 looked OK. Turn 2 needs more entry speed so you are in a big power drift slowly heading to the outside, as you approach the outside, roll off the throttle, turn right a bit more, and back on full throttle. This will bring you back to the inside drifting around the apex exit of 2. 3 was ok, but you need to stay to the left side more and longer. Keep it in 4th gear and ROLL around the corner. This is one of those corners where more power means going slower. Stay to the right side of the track down the hill, then turn left and shift to 5th. Again too much power means slower. Hit turn 8 with a bunch more speed. The faster your vehicle is going, the quicker you will be in and out of the bumps. You want a nice big long controlled drift. Too much traction will make the car/tires fight in all the holes/bumps/waves/cracks/etc. You want to drift over the top of them. Get real familiar with the outside of 8 so you know when to roll off a bit. Crank it in a bit to make 9, the WFO before you hit the very inside of 9. You want to be on the power hard so the suspension is taught to assist from bottoming out. If you are drifting or playing nice through 9, you won't have good speed down the straight. You want to make 9 your B***, get way up to speed early before 9, and DRIVE through it. It's a big fast track and takes time to find markers and get comfortable. It will cook street tires and destroy stock brake rotors. Fun....
OF COURSE ITS KEVIN BURKE 🥳

Great run! Always fun watching you. Your animated explanations make it even more enjoyable!
Supras are taking over Gridlife.
Fastest Ive ever driven so far is 138.. I cant imagine 140 in a corner.. you're insane Jackie I love it!
I can barely stay straight at 140 let alone corner lol.

Good lord I can feel the bumpiness through the screen haha. Big aero really doing some work there. Nice driving!
Wanna have some REAL FUN? That track is crazy fun on a bike.🤘🏻
Big Willow is no joke.
Your fans love going on this journey with you and your team!
Well done! This track very challenging. Anyways I really like to watch u driving and hope to see more from the Supra👍🏻
love all the info you put out on the screen during the session. supra sounds wicked man!
Good video, u and your car r quite fast, i have driven all 3 tracks at willow many times.
Incredible lap for your first visit there. Sketchy track! Car rips! Teach me how to oversteer Digs!!!

yea, been watching button willow dash cam footage of other drivers for a minute, this track looks like there's not a whole lot of upkeep, sucks.
But then again, we’re talking that it’s the same pavement as legendary racers like Dan Gurney raced on back in the 60s… it’s got SO much history
