    Here is the Robby's Revs 3 adjustable bowling glove. If you have any questions or comments, drop them in the comments and I'll try to help!

    I used a Pro Release in my youth then in college my coach Kerm Helmer says "Lets try removing that and see what happens".....needless to say it was good advice. My wrist eventually got stronger and i got way more revs. Oil patterns in Buffalo at the time required me to get deep and try and fade it into the pocket. I would never have been able to do that with a Pro Release

    Hey Nick, I am a meat cutter by trade and started to develop carpal tunnel. I love bowling but the pain nearly ended that. I started using this very device and with it I am a 200 average league bowler and still loving bowling. So good bowling and high scores😊

      I have been thinking about something like this also read about @chetstyles9444 I think I might be getting arthritis starting in my hand(left) bowled all my life with great achievements but a car accident took out the chance to keep bowling right handed. I notice I used to have a strong wrist were I can do the yo yo lift for more revs but lately my wrist is hurting. But if I did it wouldn’t be the Robbie one finger thing, probably 3 finger deal

      Back in the late 80s early 90s I bowled with a friend who used a device very similar to that , called the cobra , I used one called the scorpion . It was essentially a cobra in a different color minus that big booger picker , I hated the feeling of my index finger being trapped . I really liked it , it was helpful , but I was a rookie bowler who knew nothing . I quit bowling when I was about 27, now 30 years later I’m back on the bus , what an education I’m getting . I found a device similar to the scorpion that ebonite markets , I’ve used it a few dozen times but I find bit a bit too restrictive at times , although maybe I could use it when I need to bowl a little straighter. Hmmmm

    Been wanting to switch to a glove like that to see if it would give me more revs. Lot of the women bowlers on the Peña and in my league and even few men are wearing them I have the red one and have not used it in years so thinking of using it in practice to see if I like it. I currently use storm glove

    I used one of those devices for years and in the end got me into some really bad habits.
    Don't see the value in using one from experience and if anything is more of a hinderance as opposed to a benefit.
    It would be a good training aid for beginners.
    I would imagine that the reason it was banned on the PBA Tour was more to do with perception then to do with assisting players in having an advantage.
    Not a real good look seeing Pro Bowlers using and assistance device.
    Should be banned on the Womans Tour as well.

    • @nyracingfan
      @nyracingfan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      While we are at it, the pro tours should ban 2-handed bowling since that enhances revs.
      At the end of the day, you still need to have good technique, form, and accuracy. Your equipment is only as good as the person wearing the equipment.

    • @dragonstone9270
      @dragonstone9270 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nyracingfan In that is the case why don't we get rid of all the PBA players who can't use Urethane instead of the Balls themselves.
      If it's all up to technique, then they should have no problem because at the end of the day they are Pros are they not?
      Back to the wrist guard, anything that locks your wrist into position allows you to be repeatable without your own body's mechanics doing the work which is why you get into bad habits easier. You would think that a pro would sort that out.
      We are not living in the 80s anymore it's all about perception from the PBA point of view.
      Also, if they want to be considered as a sport at Olympic level, then they need to set some Higher standards regardless of what other sports do.

    I bought one of these a few months ago, and it helped me increase rev rate and temporarily get higher scores, but I started getting pain on the pinky side of my wrist. As my league season went on, it slowly got worse till a point when I was in pain for days after bowling, and it felt like my wrist was broken or something. The pain became unbearable, and I had to stop bowling for a month. I couldn't bend or flex my wrist at all in either direction without agony! I had to sleep with a wrist brace on to avoid tweaking it at night. I don't know what adjustment I possibly had wrong, but this thing definitely screwed my wrist up big time. It's slowly got better after I stopped bowling, and I was finally able to bowl again as long as I didn't use the Robby's revs. But even now two months later, my wrist still hurts every once in a while.

      @AV8R_1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brunsnick Thanks for the reply Nick. I didn't get it checked with the positioner. Was just using my regular fit. Didn't think it made a difference as to the grip fit. Just the wrist position. I saw your video with "SarahBowls" as well as her video on the Sarge Easter grip. It really got me thinking about what damage I had done to my wrist, which was not nearly as bad as hers, and whether or not a similar fit may help with my wrist issue on the opposite side of hers. I did go see an orthopedist, and had my wrist x-rayed, and he didn't see any acute injury, but definitely recommended I stop using the Rob's rev. Next time I go to the pro shop, I will have them look at my fit with the glove. Great job helping Sarah out! That was really cool of you guys! I don't know of any pro shops near me in Connecticut that give their customers that level of custom care!

    I have weak wrists and cannot "cup" the ball the way I would l need to and need some type of support so I tried the Robby's Revs wrist brace. I didn't care for it much. Firstly, I found it a bit awkward when trying to get my fingers and thumb in the ball. I had to maneuver and twist my hand to get them in the ball. Once in, then I was ok. Secondly, I ended up modifying the finger support by affixing a small velcro strap around the end of the finger support so my finger would stay in place up against the support. Thirdly, my release seemed unnatural and felt somewhat restrictive, no matter how I adjusted it. I ended up getting a Mongoose Lifter. That has a metal stay that I can bend the way I want and have had good luck with it.
    Brunsnick, perhaps you can review the Mongoose Lifter (not the optimum) and let us know what you think of it.

      I have both but when I have used them in the past I think I was not using them right as I was trying to go around the side of the ball on my release instead of more up the back. I will be trying them out again in practice but I know that the Rev 3 causes my pinky to not be in contact with the ball. I’m an unsure if that’s because it’s the wrong size or it messed up my span with it on.

      If you learned to bowl in the old urethane "grip it and rip it" days, then developing the modern release is gonna be a whole lot easier said than done.... trust me I've tried, lol. If you have the time, energy, and inclination to essentially re-learn how to let go of the ball, then I won't tell you it's impossible, but decades of muscle memory is difficult to undo.
