    Excellent tutorial! I just replaced 2 lock actuators on my E39 and your video made the process simple. Thanks for sharing your insight into the procedure.

    dude, you don't have to pry the switch out like that and risk damaging the surrounding areas. Just get the door panel off and push the switch out from behind. Far easier.

      You mean when the assembly (metal "housing") is out on the bench? Will try that next time!

      I mean the window switch in the door panel. Just get the door panel off a bit, reach behind and push the window switch out with a stick. It's the quickest and easiest way I know and it avoids any potential damage to the door panel

      I did that way once too, and yes, it is easier to get it out. Not so much to get a new one in!
      For the front doors however, there is no way around it, plus the door handle needs to come off.

    Is there different shape between front rear left or right?

      No, same actuator fits all 4 doors.
