      @@SVGCF I have a Maker 3, not sure if that's relevant or not, but I wanted to know if it's possible to take a design from Design Space and remove text and replace it with something different . I was able to remove shapes but not text. I saw a design that said happy 15th birthday and I wanted to to read Happy 6th Birthday. Is that possible ? I tried to no avail... Thanks

      @SVGCF  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes - you should be able to do that..but it does depend on how the design was made. If it's all one piece, you would have to unweld it: th-cam.com/video/vEC26l5HWYY/w-d-xo.html

    When I resize text, it doesn't do this. It works in Silhouette. But it won't in Cricut. Is there a setting you have on?

    • @SVGCF
      @SVGCF  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure what you mean by resizing the text - that really shouldn't play into this process. Can you explain that part?

    I am having trouble when it comes to letters like B, D P etc. It only gives me the outline. What am I doing wrong?

    • @SVGCF

      It's hard to say without seeing pictures, but you could try Contouring. This video is about unwelding but shows how to do contouring: th-cam.com/video/vEC26l5HWYY/w-d-xo.html

    Hi there! Awesome tutorial. Question for you: I'm trying to do exactly this, but with print text, not script. (I'm trying to create a blue text bubble with cut-out writing inside of it.) The problem is that with a print letter like "O," there's no way that I know of to keep the center of the O, which is the part I want to see, attached to the background. Is there a method you use to keep the center of the O and the rest of the background together after weeding it? Thank you!

    • @SVGCF
      @SVGCF  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! If you're using something like cardstock, this will be a problem. You would need to choose a 'stencil' font to keep the O centers attached. But with vinyl or other materials that have a backing, the cutter should go through the vinyl, but not the backing. Then you can weed, and everything will stay as it should be (still stuck to the backing).

      It sounds like it might not be vector artwork - maybe a PNG file?
