The frequent interruptions by the producer/director/crew (whoever it was) are ridiculous and unacceptable. Gannon and Nixon were very patient after the their flow was interrupted so many times.
Sort of. He held public office for all but an eight year period between 1947 and 1973, to include six years in Congress, eight years as Vice President and five and a half years as President. Barack Obama was more of a Washington outsider than he was; as were Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton. And his eight years out of office included a run for Governor of California (the only time he ran for state office) and his 1968 run for the Presidency. Thus, it is very hard to characterize him as other than a professional politician.

Interesting point about being poor. Mostly it's a lie. It's a comparison thing. Just bc u don't have the extras someone else has doesn't mean ur poor or without.
Thanks for sharing these inteviews.. Very valuable..
His memory is incredible
He is definitely on my list of people, living or dead, I would invite to dinner for a chat. Some guy.
Interesting but does sound quite rehearsed

I'd love to have been able to see the pictures President Nixon and the interviewer are looking at.
I agree
these interviews are very interesting...thanks for the upload...i've always felt this man wasn't treated very fairly by the press...
you mean like Trump?
@@fasteddie9867yes, exactly. Abs the similarities don’t just end there. It’s fascinating to listen to this and compare notes to today with Trump.

I agree but I suspect there were technical issues.

I was just at the Riverside (Mission) Inn yesterday and was thinking about Nixon being married there.
Respect…
It seems he hardly knew his wife before they married, always looking forward.

It’s really weird, awkward, how the president got a lot of do overs in this interview. I’m sure it wasn’t originally aired that way.
That person messing with the President's hair was a pain in the neck
