"Transmission" a collaboration, began when I asked Ambient Ideas for some segments of his japanese "sanshin", my idea was a duet, (east meets west) with my lap harp, that proved difficult, I chopped them up, but, the two are so different, it started to sound like a noise piece, it sat for a while, then AI reached back, "send me the track, I have some ideas", well, he threw it in a blender with some sushi and mushrooms, and indeed came up with this unique experimental version, enjoy!

There's something refreshingly retro about this, and not in a contrived way. This immediately makes me think of the cut-up recordings of Burroughs/Gysin, and the sonic exploration of Nurse With Wound. And there's a lovely structure to this piece. I particularly love the growling, grinding sound at around 3:50.

Thank you Marcus, except for a small number of us creatives, the rest of the world wouldn't appreciate this piece! Stay well!

Hey Jeff, thanks for rummaging! I'm not big on noise pieces, even though there are probably some who think they are all noise! lol

The glorious spirit of Zoviet France’s musique concrete is on full shine in this piece- this washes over the mind with extreme delight.
    Woof woof.
    Sincerely,

Thank you, I was going to include that in the notes, but, I wasn't sure how many would know about the early pioneers, I should have guessed you would!

Yes Guard Dog! One of my first thoughts when listening to this work was precisely the memory of concrete music!

I used to listen to shortwave radio as a little boy, dreaming of the world as I turned the dial . This reminds me of that.

Yeah, me too, my dad had a Blaupunkt stereo console with SW, and I would turn the tuning dial to hear the strange signals between the stations! Strange kid! lol Thanks BB

Great work from both of you. I think it's a piece of the the world today. By that I mean a lot of zapping and info from the web or telly. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I approve of this zapping! lol In the 70's the "Saturday Night Live" TV show had Frank Zappa on with the "Coneheads" and I remember them saying "I approve of this Zappa" I use that line a lot, when I like something. lol Thanks Lars

This is amazing music. I like the picture too. Looks like an old 40s or 50's radio announcer.

Now I know where Pink Floyd got their track idea 'Several Furry Animals' from ;-) Seriously, I can't imagine the mindset that constructed this. However, it is interesting, curious and genuine in every moment of it. Very trippy. Nice one guys! 💚

Thanks Rob, Umma Gumma was a fav in my youth. This piece evolved into something completely different from the initial concept, Ambient Ideas deserves most of the credit, he is younger and bolder than I am. Stay well my friend!

Wow! Yes, it is very different from what is usual on your channel, my friend! However, your label is there, your harp, and I even thought I heard a hammer blow from Stargates! Ha ha. 😍
Very good job, friends! A great experiment of music and sound! Congratulations to both! 💯🥂🍾
    Very nice cover art too!
    Applause for this work! 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼

Gracias Aldo, y sí, los golpes de martillo están ahí, tan pronto como descubrí ese sonido, mientras experimentaba con el arpa de regazo, ¡supe que lo usaría mucho en el futuro!
Thank you Aldo, and yes the hammer blows are there, as soon as I discovered that sound, while experimenting on the lap harp, I knew that I would be using it a lot in the future!
