Chiba has plenty of mountains and beautiful seaside scenery! I recommend looking at the Minami Boso region in southern Chiba! The surfing scene, camping, and food are excellent in South Chiba.

@@thejaded8218 my channels not really about that so I don’t think I’d make a video about sponsorships. But I agree we definitely get a lot less than western cultures. Japan is a bit behind the times and doesn’t invest much in social media. I do get a lot of offers far more than I can accept but I’m MEGA picky and only chose ones that I like, my audience likes, is safe and reputable and affordable

Just finished watching and in all seriousness this hit hard- I know the feeling of finding your 'dream home' and then having to say no (or finding someone else out-bid you). I was so disheartened/miserable I didn't look at anything else for months... We're now about to celebrate our first year in our actual dream house so things do happen for a reason. I know there's a happy ending here for Sundai too 👏🏼❤️

It would’ve been hella expensive to renovate that house with many buildings. ❤ glad you’re moving forward and you’ll find your spot, girl, if you haven’t already 😊

Be careful about moving too far. It might be hard to get the renovators to travel far. Also, because Japan is such a community like culture, you might have to reconsider the ‘close neighbor’ thing. Hopefully you will find one with a large front and backyard

Renovating is SOOOO expensive but you have the vision and I'm here for it. Besides your ideas gives me ideas for my own projects. I love Japanese aesthetics and you got that right touch for it.
Not that I would have any plans to move and find my dream home in Japan.. but I am LIVING through this series! It is so much fun, inspiring and so much brain tickle to follow you find your's. Sundai's House hunting, Tokyo Lens and Bitsii in Inaka have been my go to places when drinking my morning coffee before work ❤

This series has been really inspiring. I'm looking for my own place and I just got to the realization that what I want/can afford may not be in the city. I was feeling discouraged and unsure of the future. So it's nice to see someone taking these same challenges head on while enjoying the process. Got a little spark of hope.

Sundai I spent all of 2022 looking for a house and it was truly a blessing to have a foot at that table. Not play looking for a wish list but money pre approved, lenders on deck waiting for me to find a home and someone to accept my offer. It took me 6 months running to and fro across counties in my state and I found my home. I shouted it after I got it. I understand moving and then talking about it. You need to keep the other voices out so you can stay true to what you want.
I know you were devastated about the house but I WAS DEVASTATED about the house! I mean I gasped and everything. Went through the five stages of grief before I even finished the video. Love your videos, Sundai!

Hey Sundai! I'm enjoying this series a lot! Regarding the previous house I can't imagine how dissapointing it was to set your mind on owning the house and then having to be told that it's no longer avaialble. But, like you said in the video God had better plans for you. I'm not the most religious person, but i try to adopt the mindset that if something dosen't go my way it either was not meant for me and there's something better waiting. Or, I was not ready for it and have some more growing to do. Have a blessed day!

I’m happy to see a new video out. I like that you’re sticking to what you want and are searching and weeding through selections diligently. Seeing this also showed me that it’s worth the risk of traveling far and in-person to get a real perspective of something whether you have a definitive yes or no decision on a home. I was wondering how you chose the Gujo area? I think one of the reasons you were staying in one zone was because of your current work in Tokyo.

I was wondering, how do you stop caring about other peoples judgement about what you do with your life, and focus on achieving your own dreams? Also, how do you deal with guilt that your family might have wanted you to follow another path in life?
Im really struggling, and feel like I’ll be stuck in this prison forever, but no matter what, I cant seem to stop taking other peoples judgement and opinions (even if they’re outlandish) out of my head. Ive always been this way, and struggle with feeling like I can never be enough :(

I love this series….I love the traditional Japanese homes! I bought a 1954 block house in 2021 in Arizona. Oh man the prices to have things fixed is crazy! I can’t wait to see which house you choose and getting everything fixed.

Oh, no! Sundai! That last house was so exciting, but I’m glad you were able to take everything in stride. With such a great attitude, I know you will find the right project eventually. Something to remember: there are so many, many ways to create space and block out you’re neighbors. Obviously, that would have been hard with the house you looked at in this video, though. If your imagination is as good as your attitude, the right opportunity and the best solution will present itself. Can’t wait to see what the next part of your journey looks like. 💜
